congrats Korean basketball team. I always thought they were a team of losers.

I had no idea Korea had 1 billion people or that Japan had 730 million people. Does anyone know population statistics for Asian countries? I only know China's (1.2 billion).

I am guessing Korea and Japan's population on basis of their medals won. Korea had 84% of the medals China had and Japan 61%. So I multiplied these percentages by 1.2 billion and got these numbers (1 billion for Korea and 730 million for Japan).

Can someone tell me if these are correct?

    There's a humongous dropoff after 1-2-3, no?

I am NOT looking forward to Yao vs. Shaq. The Korean dude to the right is like 6'10 and 240.

    This match was dramatic.
I thought they lost for sure when they were down by 7pts on last minute of the game (40 secs left)
After a layup, a steal then 3 pointer, they cut down lthe ead to 2 points.

Chinese player got fouled and went to line for 2 free throws (I think he was guard) and missed both free throw.
If he made both free throw, game over no matter what Korea do.

2 consecutive come from behind victory for S.Korea bball team.
