    PSO Korea 6:5 Japan

Nevermind how the match was actually played, it was a display of true fighting spirit.

Well, right after the Indo game, I jokingly predicted that Korea would win the whole thing, without scoring another goal. I got half of that correct!!

I think KNT may be the only team in history who held out with all its key coaching staff ejected. Maybe that helped the guys to fight harder?

Where are you getting all these pictures so fast?

And what did Verbeek, Hong, and Cossa do to get kicked out of the game?

Thats one thing that upsets me, Pim and Hong were unable to be on the field and celebrate with the KNT. Extremly upsetting

So proud of our boys (Except for that JJJ:mad:)

Oh Beom-suk and Kim Chi-woo played the game of their lives today. Lee Woon-jae was as solid as usual and how about Lee Geun-ho as well?

Also kudos to Lee Chun-soo for playing through his injury and the fighting spirit he showed was second to none.

If Oh Beom-suk and Kim Chi-woo along with Kim Jin-kyu, Kang Min-su, Kim Chi-gon continue their development with return of Lee Young-pyo might give us our most formidable defense since Kim Tae-young, Hong Myung-bo and Choi Jin-chul line of 2002.

Now if we can find strikers who can shoot straight unlike JJJ and LDG.

    일본은 한국의 밥이다!!!!:)

Actually, they were on the field, celebrating with the team from the results of the PKs.

I saw them, with my own two eyes!

And it's also on the replay...

it was a deserved win for korea alright.

but I don't think many are convinced. This type of performance is what separates Korea from the top 25 soccer countries.

Korea still only has a knack for possession but its offensives are usually sloppy and poorly organized. ( Japan was defeatable and the PSOs weren't necessary ) Don't be misled by Korea's defense; they may have conceded very few goals BUT korea wasn't playing effective soccer opponents that know how to captialize. Hence, I doubt it's true that Korea's defense has improved.

This marks the highlight of Pim's career. Korea rarely reached the semifinals of the AC, let alone 3rd place. It's relieving that Korea won the 3rd place game but, considering that the AC is a regional match between the world's weakest soccer countries, I'm not finding Korea's 3rd place stance anything to brag about.

Anyway, I hope the 3rd place standing will shine on Pim's resume, in the hopes that the KFA will assign his successor.

Is Hanyu the same guy who hit Kim Jingyu with his shot, although he had the whole goal to himself, and Kim was looking down on the ground?

Did JJJ take a shot on goal the entire game or did he save it for the PK shoot-out?

I swear he's the most worthless waste of space I've ever seen.

About Korea's defence... It has been improving for sure, but I think there's still a plenty of room for improvement - it's not like Japan was completely shut down, anyway; they had enough chances but their finishing was even more atrocious than Korea's, lol.
