I think so. This is the last game (before the WC) listed in their schedule.

Even after 4 yrs, it seems like Bento has no idea what he wants to do.. and we have only one friendly match bf the WC.

Can we just get STY back if we are gonna hire an expensive shit foreign coach?

Hasn't STY recently agreed to extend his contract with the Indonesian FA?

Obviously he should have stayed in the K-League or coached a J-League club to get another shot at the KNT job.

He has been away from the highest level of Asian footballing world for over 4 years.

I bet it is cheaper to pay the penalties to bring him than hiring a shit foreign coach.

STY was just an example. I don't think foreign coaches like Bento and Shitlike are any better.

Bento seriously showed 0 progress over the past 4 years.

No, not that guy...let him enjoy paradise. I always wondered what if V. Marwijk took the helm how would he have done with this bunch.

The real problem is KFA president Chung Monkey. He thinks very highly of himself. He won't fire Bento because he needs to show off "the size and the scale of his character", a big time boss who supports his men to the end. Funny he apologized after 0-3 defeat to Japan last year as if he were an earnest and sincere man who took it very seriously but was silent this year after an even more embarrassing defeat to a much younger Japan. He is in deep trouble because his construction company failed big time and killed many people. KFA is very important to him right now and it is a disaster for Korean soccer because he will never resign.

Charisma is an overrated quality in NT managers. Hiddink is to be blamed for it though it is none of his fault that he has a lot of it. Koreans are still looking for a new Hiddink. But what Korea need is just an ordinary coach who makes sensible decisions in a timely manner. We don't need a soccer genius who pursues a "beautiful" football. We don't need an esoteric soccer "philosophy" in NT managers, we just need someone with an ordinary common sense.

To lose tomorrow and fire Bento is not such a bad deal for Korea but it won't happen. The losing part is not so unlikely but the firing part is almost impossible.
A NT with Lee KI and a few other new guys under a domestic coach will do better than Bento without Lee KI. Portuguese themselves have had very low opinions of Bento. The chances of him being a misunderstood genius are very very low. He is too old for that, had too many chances already and he proved he is just an obstinate nobody who failed even in China.

Same with Hwang Sunhong. Monkey Chung will not fire him because... the monkey is a big time boss.

Bento is a shrewd guy. If a defeat is imminent and certain in an embarrassing manner(like 0-3) he will let Lee KI play hoping that he flops. That way he gets to say that LKI was of no use and blames the players for the loss as usual. Monkey Chung will spare him.

But I don't see Korea losing 0-3 as much as I have a low opinion of Bento.

Another possibility that Korean boards are talking about is that Korea are winning comfortably in the second half. But if Bento lets LKI play and LKI does well Bento will be proven wrong. I don't think he likes that. But he also gets to say it is to his credit he figured out how to use LKI.

I don't really pretend to know Bento that well. But he is very petty and obstinate for sure.

A complete dominance finally leads to a goal. JWY shot was punched out by the goalie and Son heads in the rebound.

I can't believe how well we are playing.

We have the run of play, can put this match to bed, and that stubborn lunchbox still won't bring LKI on...

Cue ballwatching in the last 10 and a "satisfactory" 1-1 draw. SMH...

3 shots on target from 66% possession after 70' and he brings on his favourite loose ball merchant JWY?
