The BBc gossip column today says we'll sign Paul Konchesky from Charlton for $2 m this week; any comments?

Yeh, there is alot of reports on this one so I think it will go ahead. The 'Cardiff defensive duo' rumours won't go away either. Does anyone know anything about these two? Personally I don't, but they do seem to be highly rated.
So Peter Crouch thinks he's too good for West Ham, according to the soccernet report. That's a laugh. It's also a blessing in disguise for West Ham, who would have, in my opinion, wasted good money on such a transaction. Six million? Kind of steep, don't you think?
*breathes on knuckles and buffs them on shirt* Not that I should be bragging about my prediction skills. It's the first time I have ever predicted anything right!! It is a bit. I think this lad is a star of the future but I do have my doubts about just how big (no pun intended) he will be. Perhaps he has doubts himself and that is why he wants to go straight to a big-ish club, to try and make sure he gets noticed at the top level. He would have been a good signing but he is definitely over priced.
