    This hasn't been posted yet.

Akron Right Back Kofi Sardokie is on trial with FC Midtjylland of the Danish Superliga. FCM has made European competition three of their last five seasons, and was also the home of Dan Califf for a time.

Ives put him in his first 23 for 2014 (if that means anything).

I guess he is an attacking right back with some flair up the wing.

we should hear of a deal (should there be one) in the next day or two

I think you might be thinking of his elder brother Ofori, an 88. It seems to be Kofi, a 91 and a prospect with the current U-20 team, who is on trial in Denmark. And I think its spelled Sarkodie, not Sardokie as the thread title has it.

This guy was a very impressive freshman defender for the Zips last season, along w/ Zarek Valentin(younger brother of Julian Valentin), They lost to Virginia in the NCAA Championship match.

From the linked article its hard to be optimistic bout his chances....basically says he physically fit and technically strong but that he lack tactical awareness/schooling....can't be good can it?

You can teach tactical awareness but can't teach athleticism.

The Danish always say this after we beat them.

    ;)

Just put that in to tease Ceres.

    Marvell Wynne proves otherwise :D

Hopefully Kofi latches on, it would be a good place for him to start his career, a good professional environment without too much pressure.

Oh, I was replying to Cuban's post (the one immediately before mine) not the original post. You've got the right Sarkodie.

I have been lucky enough to see him play in person 7+ times. I have always been impressed but feared he I would need to see him in a professional setting to really gage his ability. Beating up on bad college teams cant be all that impressive. Having said that he has good skill and is surly a professional in the making. Hope he does well.

Just about all foreign players seem to lack some tactical schooling when they come to the very tactical Danish league... also experienced Swedish, Norwegian, German and French players... Infact, 90% of all the foreign players who fail in the Danish Superliga, do not fail because they lack speed, technical skills or are not physically strong, but because they lack tactical awareness and cant seem to learn or adjust... This is also why you very often see foreign central midfielders end up in the left or right wing position in the Superliga, where their tactical skills are a bit less important...

I was wondering why he wasn't included the Milk Cup roster. I guess a professional trial is a pretty good reason...

It's Sarkodie and he was on the Milk Cup roster last year.

I'll try to get some more info on this. ;)
