    The same reason they kept putting Hamm up there towards the end. She's a name that's known by everyone, regardless of her current contributions.

    Even the Germany fans weren't especially preaching the merits of Prinz this year.

    How did Beergut perform in league play?

    In addition to the name factor already mentioned, that might have played into it.
