I just got back from the beach. I was invited to this big family reunion, (family gathering of about 90 people) -sort of a tradition- they get together, camp overnight and eat loads of chipino crab before everyone leaves. There was a soccer "tournament" at the beach, volley and kyte contest too. Let me tell you, a ton of beer, some tequila shots and 2 bottles of vine after, I could not make the damn thing fly  I did much better in soccer though, I managed to score 2 goals, (after a failed attemp of a half-volley that landed me pretty hard)
    now i'm icing my butt

Drunk soccer is fun and it barely hurts! ( I see a signature maybe?)

Hrrm. I don't know. That's within driving distance for me, but ... $55? Against Australia? And $100 for gas, plus hotel, etc.

That's a lot of money for a team I'm not especially fond of. :D

We'll see. I have to check the vacation schedule at work and think looonnnngg and hard about it. But probably not. If I change my mind, I'll let you know. :)

No biggie... I'm just stoked it's my neck of the woods. As you know, we hardly ever get to see good soccer in the south.

Awww, Crimson. You mean to tell me you're not fond of Prep girls' soccer matches? That will either end in a 0-0 score or a 12-0 score?

    Those games are especially brutal.

    :shudders:

Or when you pull up to a boys game and realize half their team is composed of fat, bulky offensive linesmen that look like they're going to fall out after the practice warmups?

(You think it's bad up there; down here it's impossible. Well, except for the teams that are blessed with tons of migrant workers' kids and like two guys from eastern europe. :D )

    Ooooh. Poor China.

Loisel's threatening to quit unless they fire the Chinese manager. (Thread in Int'l forum.)

You should all fear my Viking Name...

    Tanni Bonecrusher

Your Viking Personality: You're a fearsome Viking, but you aren't completely uncivilized. The other Vikings make fun of you for that. You have a thirst for battle, and tend to strike first and think later. You might be able to hold your own on the battlefield, but you're no "berserker".

A long sea voyage aboard a Viking longboat would be difficult for you, but you might be able to manage it. Other Vikings consider you "one of the guys".

People who've known you for a while don't always trust your word. Other people tend to think of you as manipulative and conniving.

    Here's mine:

    Páll Leafslayer

Your Viking Personality: You might have a Norse name, but you really don't have what it takes to be a true Viking. You're not a belligerent person by nature, which is unfortunate if you want to be a Viking. You probably know which end of a sword to hold, but you're not a fearsome fighter by any stretch of the imagination.

A long sea voyage aboard a Viking longboat would be difficult for you, but you might be able to manage it. Other Vikings tolerate your presence, though they're not quite sure if they can trust you to fight dirty.

You have a fairly pragmatic attitude towards life, and tend not to expend effort in areas where it would be wasted. Other Vikings would be calling you "tree-hugging hippie peacenik" if the phrase had been invented.

    *shakes head*

*wants us to RUTS the boobgrabbers tomorrow* (run up the score!) :D
