Nope. When they make replicas, they still have Bell on them. You will have to settle for a cotton shirt/sweatshirt.
I feel in the minority, but I really like them. maybe because I have no association with any cell phone / IT providers (well, I am with Fido, but that can change) I am excited to buy my blue jersey and be wearing it at empire next summer.
I just saw both jerseys for the first time moments ago, I personally think both are bad ass! I'm a Union fan but those are sweet jerseys!
well I'm happy with them simple and effective like the logo, I will be buying a white kit and hopefully they will put out a 3rd kit which is sky blue. also I'm glad they left out the bar, moving forward.
The kits look very clean and professional to me. Looking back at what the Canucks have done with their jerseys these are much better and look to have some staying power.
thankfully they didnt go the route of the team to the south of them..... now we have to see the logo and kits of the timbers...
I like the unique kits but the logo looks like one designed for a small local corporation. Thumbs down.
hey now. your logo is good but so is the Crew's. it breaks every rule of logos, it is radically different from almost anything else with photo-realistic people in it but still, somehow i find it completely unique and one of the best around. just something about it made me like it from the very beginning.
Maybe it reminded you of this... [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AO43p2Wqc08"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AO43p2Wqc08[/ame]
Very classy Vancouver! I love the re-branding and those kits are amazing. I especially like how the interlocking VW is accentuated on the secondary strip. The Pacific Northwest is quickly becoming the cornerstone of MLS in so many respects.
The logo is decent but I think some of the other choices they had presented to them had some merit. I am sure this will grow on me.
Ya I wasn't expecting anything less from Barber either. Although Spurs kits haven't been the best in the past few years Barber is a sharp guy and not surprised the colors were changed a bit to be more like Spurs (whether that had anything to do with Barber or not) I do like those kits very much, the subtle argyle type design on the away is awesome.
Not bad at all. Very professional. I especially like your new badges. A very clean and crisp look. Went from cartoony to professional with those. I do have one question though, since the Whitecaps have multiple teams under the organizational umbrella and seeing Kara Lang from the Whitecaps Women sporting the new kits along with Martin Nash, is it right to assume that all of the Whitecaps teams will be switching to this new kit? Doesn't that fly in the face of the separation between the MLS organization and the rest of the Whitecaps teams which aren't currently franchised with MLS? Not that I think that it's wrong or anything. And does Martin Nash have a free pass for life since he's the brother of one of the bosses?
I too wondered why the Caps had Kara Lang modelling their mens kit, when it is clear that Bell is sponsoring the MLS franchise, and she does not play for that side. I figure it's just the team being politically correct, not wanting to do anythign without bringing the women into it.
Well that's mighty nice of them. Great for the lady 'Caps to get to wear the sponsorship as well since all the money will, I guess, be used on the Whitecaps organisation as a whole. Would be nice to see Vancouver be able to take them up to WPS as well, sign Marta, and have both mens and womens sides in the top-flight, but WPS has some issues to work out first for long-term viability seeing what happened to the Sol. But as well-run as the Whitecaps seem to be, I don't see that happening to them on either side. Can't wait to see Vancouver next year in MLS.
Its Kara Lang, that is why. They like to get her great looks connected to the public as much as possible.
