I skipped the other show and went to Connecticut instead. I probably should't have. Kingston's stalwart 2021 defense never arrived. I mean that literally. I don't know where they were. Not injured, not suspended; they just weren't there. And it showed. The central defense and goalie looked like strangers picked up off the street as they watched Hartford score nearly every time the home side passed the halfway line. It was a disappointing end to another successful season. EDIT: It turns out the Justin Vivian Bond show was postponed anyway because of the weather so that worked out well for me.
is this for the benefit of the people who don't know how to get to the npsl website or do you get paid by the reply or what
A dreadful end to a dreadful season. The fans were, of course, magnificent. The coaching and management and front office were still strong. But the chairman is going to need to figure out how to find talent when they're no longer the only NPSL team in the area. With Cedar Stars and Albany each poaching 1/3 of the local talent, the available players just aren't good enough. The net needs to be widened.

I'm certainly buying season tickets to support the team. I'll probably donate another set too. I'm sure I'll come for a game or two and I'll probably go to at least one away fixture. But I likely won't go to every home game as I've tried to do. What about you?
Have not been up to Kingston in awhile and Marist is about 45 mins closer to my house, so I really need to try and attend at least one home match. Did attend a USL2 match at Mt. St. Mary in Newburgh last summer and was reasonably impressed with their talent.
Kingston's color commentator, Spike Vrusho, is just wonderful. He's like a warm and wry Dennis Miller. And I mean that in the best possible way, not in the obviously flawed way. His analysis of the various speed traps in the hometown of the Stockade left midfielder this weekend was pure Spike. A++
Kingston beat the living crap out of Hartford behind three goals by Daniel D'Ippolito. The Mid-Hudson Messi now has a startling eight goals in his last three games.
