Why Ko Jung-Soo? Is it because he is famous and he was out for injury?? If Hiddink was still here I don't think Ko will be chosen without being proven of his worthiness.

how many games have you watched Ko play?
Who scored most goals in NT when Hiddink just took over?
Ko isnt fast like Lee yong pyo, seol but his passing/crossing is way better and accurate.

Haven't seen Ko play once, but i have seen a lot of Yi yong pyo playing, mind you yong pyo was the passer for both US goal and the goal against Italy, and i have to say both crosses landed right on target, head of Ahn.

If this Ko is as good as you say, even better for our NT!

against US, it was Lee Ul yong, Lee yong pyo wasnt available due to hamstring injury.
I dont think Ko would have played Lee Yong-pyo's position, Ko is more like LF, AM (central).
He would have competed with Seol and Yoo.

You guys are forgetting the main reason why Ko didn't make the cut.

He can't defend. He's too slow (his acceleration sucks). Also, Ko's lazy in the club games too. He'll lurk for 85 minutes and make a great shot or free kick.

He didnt even recover from the injury even after WC.
You think Lee chun soo can defend better than Ko?

thanks for the clearification, it was Lee Ul Yong.

dunno too much about this Ko guy, but he couldn't have played any worse than Seol that's for sure.

he didn't get a chance to recover from a year long injury as jamisont pointed out. Don't you member he was Hiddink's best man before he was injured?

Ko may be slow and lazy on defense but he is the most creative playmaker in Korea and also has the best freekick

Lee Woon-Jae got the third wild card pick. Smart move. Looks like Korea really wants this gold!

hmm so far Lee Won Jae sucked in his first game in K-league (allowing like 3 goals in that game)then he injured his wrist and so far in his rehab.. I dont think its that good move.
