Great win for us, Ki did ok when he came on, almost scored but didn't really make a huge impact when he came on. Jonathan De Guzman would be my man of the match, he was superb especially in the first half. Very well taken goal from Luke Moore and we're now on 40 points, can forget about any possibility of going down and now need to push on for a top half finish and 8th place is definitely achievable. A big game towards that sort of battle for 7th/8th is next week away to West Brom, with us both on 40 points.
Must be a huge relief to reach 40 points. But Swansea looked alarmingly lethargic in the second half. Hope it's not a sign of the squad easing off the throttle...
How to motivate a squad that's reached safety, secured a place in Europe, has no realistic chance of CL spot.... Seems to be a test of ML's managing skills coming up doesn't it?
I just hope KSY finally gets to take a breather. Rotating the squad would help his swollen ankles to settle and be healthy for the WCQs coming up.
I imagine there's a lot going on whether it be convincing JDG to stay, figuring out who to sell and where to buy.
I think it was more of a case of Newcastle playing well to be honest, they are a good side and have won three of their last four with their new signings in their squad. They did look very good, and I don't think we did a lot wrong, we just found the game very difficult and in the end got the crucial win.
Kagawa's a great player, no doubt, and a hat trick isn't easy to pull off, but Aruna Dindane scored a hat trick with Portsmouth several years back and look where both parties are now. Scoring goals after failing to make an impact for successive games doesn't make him any better than Andy Carroll. I'm sure he'll do well but it's crazy how fan's opinions change on a player after one great performance.
Perhaps we should have Kagawa forum here, since some of you guys LOVE to talk about him, positive or negative......
I think it's good to have Kagawa as a benchmark. But I agree there's been a lot of Kagawa talk in here.
berbatov never fit United's system. Its as simple as that. I was hoping he'd go to juventus. They could have used a striker like him. I don't think i've ever seen berbatov get dispossessed. dude was elite when it came to technical ability.
Its funny we fun of Taiwan for having inferiority complex and at the same time some people here are pissed off about Kagawa scoring a hat-trick and talk poorly of him which shows inferiority complex. If Son scored a hat-trick and some members of BSJ started getting pissed off and talk negative about him, we would be laughing our asses off saying they have inferiority complex.
He was a hell of a player at Dortmund and he'll continuously improve at MU. This is hard to refute and no one has attempted to. I don't recall anyone speaking bad of Kagawa, neither should we, but do you want us to f*cking celebrate at the fact that a player from Japan, only our fiercest rival in almost every aspect of rivalries there is, scores a hat trick?
To each his own? I give a sh*t because to me, and to a lot of other Koreans, the rivalry lives on even when our players aren't sporting the NT kit. I will restrain myself from further Kagawa talk on this thread but not giving a sh*t is not an option.
