Rumours have it that Kasey is considering SLC (spit, cough, gag) but what becomes of Brad if Rovers go down? I know he'd likely be able to sign with a Premiership team, but you never know.

I don't know how much longer his contract is or how much it is worth, but if Blackburn gets relegated they will have to dump some salary. I guess there is a chance, but I think it depends more on if he wants to continue his career with the Nats.

While Keller hasn't been generating a lot of interest (the fulham rumor aside), BF would be a pretty hot commodity were he put on the market. If blackburn needed to drop salary, he'd probably end up in Newcastle with souness, but almost certainly he'd be able to get another euro gig, for a lot more money than MLS will be able to offer.

    Doesn't Friedel's wife have English/British roots?

Jamaican Jamaican, or a Jamaican who has emigrated to the English Isle (like many Reggae Boyz)?

I bet Colorado will try to sign him to have another keeper battle. Ohh wait, Hanki just got fired. Nevermind.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Newcastle's keeper pretty damn good?
    4-1 beating this week notwithstanding.

At least that was my impression over the last couple of years.

Would Brad go slumming in the US again? Why can't I see that. He found it so revolting last time around. Yes...no? I don't remember many kind words about his time in MLS when in England. Most were very deragatory if I am correct.

    Just wondering.

Yes, very. (Shay Given didn't play last week as his wife was giving birth).

But Newcastle can afford to have a quality back-up.

Not sure Brad is your man if Newcastle are just looking for a quality back-up.

But if he can't land a prime-time gig, then his asking price would go down and make it more suitable for the Magpies, which can pay more to a back-up than MLS to a starter.

Which is not to say that Brad wouldn't want to start for someone.
