Great to see Kakuta doing so well. The club had such high hopes for the lad , hopefully he can fulfill his potential at the Blues.

How far along is Paizon? What about Lukaku? With the fees paid, even though they're only 18 year old kids, I would expect them to be somewhat productive at this level, especially for Lukaku's pricetag.

No one can score and we are creating NOTHING. Why not throw them on?

Anyone watching Paizon what is his playing style like, is he physically ready for first team?

No, he's not. Strangely, given his size, neither is Lukaku for the same reason, except Lukaku doesn't know how to use his body yet.

There were two players in the reserve squad last season who were obviously ready for a chance but Borini and Töre were allowed to leave on a free effectively. There's now a bit of a gap, especially offensively, and nobody is really ready to step up. Closest you'll get at this stage is Bamford, although if Phillip were ever to remain fit and in form I think he'd deserve a go.

4-3 is something special especially from 3-0 down at half time.

If only Bamford wasn't cup tied. I think he and Feruz would be quite deadly.

Swift has really impressed me in the past couple of games. Graceful and uses his body really well to glide past people.

Piazon just gets better and better. Was always going to take time to settle but glad to see him show his talents more.

This kid has come far btw!

no doubt some real talent in the youth setup

my only concern, and sorry to be negative, is that I dont see anyone ready to break into the first team next season and at best it may be two years before a few of these lads can break through

quite right. this is a very young youth team still. some lovely players though.

and being realistic, the chances of even one breaking through are remote.

    agreed

with our current set up I would be suprised if even one made into the first team but I hold out hope that the FFP regulations will force us to look to these lads instead of spending money on back up/reserve players

which we should have been doing for a while now imo

i think Chalobah, Piazon, and Bamford will get a chance with the first team at some point. Its their job to impress when the time comes.

Chalobah & Piazon yes, not so sure about Bamford even though he seems more nonchalant & experienced among the trio.

One of the main fault in our signings I see is that we try to alter a good no 9 player(CF) into a crappy wing forward just for the sake of making him 'versatile'. It's not working for years but the procession of outcasts are ongoing

    Congrats on the win.

Hopefully we can get past Charlton and have a rematch with Chalobah & co for a third season running.
