I am getting pissed with Florentino's tactics..he is offereing Solari less than what he currently makes.

Go to as.com and vote in the poll on the left side...so far 93% of respondents have said his contract should be renewed.

I think it has been a while since there has been such a one-sided response to any poll on their site.

Almost 10,000 votes, and its still 95% for Solari to stay.

I'm glad that its not just us on BS that feel like Solari is a wonderful player and an integral part of this team. I feel like we had a Solari-love-fest over the summer, but I would love to do it again; Solari is a brilliant player (I'd put him as one of the 10 best left wings in the world), and the consumate professional (never has consistently started, isn't considered a Galactico, yet never has anything bad to say about his teammates, his situation, or the club).

solari to man utd looks like a big possibility because giggs has turned down a contract extension, the timing is intresting.

Well, I guess it depends on the conditions he is asking for.

That he is a perfect number 12 and a very loyal and extremely professional player is obvious, but how many years and how much money is he asking for? He is not a child anymore either.

Why do you criticize that he is offered a lower amount? Do you know how much was he earning? Do you know if Florentino considers it reasonable and can afford it?

That poll is tricky. Of course people want him to stay, but we don't know the insides of it.

and of course at United he knows he would have a strong supporter in Ferguson's #2, Queiroz. I hope Real makes him an offer that tells him his work is appreciated, but if he chooses to move on to a club where he will get more playing time I won't hold it against him, and will wish him the best of luck.

He wouldn't need any supporters at Man U. They only have two senior wingers, Giggs who looks past his best and may be leaving, and Ronaldo who could do with a rest. Solari would be given a starting spot at Man U on arrival. They need another winger that badly.

    The horror...

AS claims Solari has a pre-contract with Barcelona. Solari is out of contract at Real this summer.

I can't read Spanish, so hopefully this is a very, very, very untrue and unfounded rumor. Solari is the true Galactico in my opinion -- dedicated and hardworking.

Not usually the most reliable source, but goal.com is saying that he will move at the end of the year, and that it will be announced tomorrow, when the transfer window opens! Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeease let this be a bu!!$#!t rumor

I'd be very very much surprised if this turns out to be anything other than a sad rumour. Think of it this way, how much sense does it make that Laporta goes ahead and signs Solari's death warrant by announcing the agreement with half of the season still to play. Solari would simply have to kiss the rest of the year goodbye. Doesn't make any sense at all.

The rumors are hot, but I don't believe anything has been signed yet. I would be very surprised if Solari made a move before talking to the new coach.

I think the hotter rumor is Samuel going back to Italy. He just gave an interview about the nightmare he is living in.

BARCELONA-SOLARI AGREEMENT FOR THE NEXT SEASON

Free the 30th of June and accepts blaugrana offer

To Joan Laporta he would like to have the same luck with the reinforcements of winter that it seems to be having with the ones of the next summer (wouldnt last summer make more sense  ). Santiago Solari already is in the boat, and he is not a inocentada (?) that he arrives with delay. The president of Barcelona has assured the contest(?) of the argentine midfielder of Real Madrid, that he is going to finish his commitment in the Santiago Bernabeu the next 30th of june and, in fact, would be able to make public-if wanted- his agreement with the Barca and his leaving tomorrow.

The FIFA regulator in matters of transfers establishes that a player can negociate freely his professional future with whatever club once he enters the last 6 months of his contract. The case of Solari fits these parameters, as they also adjust the salary of the player, that has accepted the offer of BArca. The offer is based relatively low (no more than 1million euros), but notably increased for incentives according to parties for games played, goles scored, titles obtained, etc.

    Equilibrio.

    Equalibrium.
The arrival of Solari will recover the equilibrium that Barcelona had lost since the sale of Luis Garcia to Liverpool. The left band (the left side of the field??) will have a new occupant with the argentine, that will give, little by little, more freedom of movements to Ronaldinho, to whom now Frank Rijkaard is using on the left. And, little by little, Laporta is going to return to presuming of carrying players of madrid :)confused:??)

as for the article itself, it has been rumored before, so it may very well be true. one could see why he would go to barcelona, but it would also seem smarter on his part to go to a club where he would be a starter, assuming that he does leave. it really is a shame how under-utilized he has been.

This ********in sucks.. if its true!!

If Real continue to make dumb decisions like this... its not hard to see why they'd lose so many foreign fans... Not TRUE spanish fans.

I for one think Solari is probably their best player. Everytime i've watched him he just OWNS.... the guy sometimes runs so fast... and dribbles in 90th minute... he has stamina of a horse... he'd be a regular 1st choice for any other team probably and so in a way i'm happy for him to leave... but to Barca?? I dunno how i feel about that...

either way Boooooooo to Madrid... for letting him go on a free if this is true!!
