Picked this up from http://www.rednews.co.uk/ today:

    From the SUN

'ROY KEANE could be out for SIX WEEKS with an ankle problem. Manchester United’s skipper WILL face Arsenal in a Premiership showdown on Sunday at Old Trafford but is then expected to undergo an operation on the ankle he injured last Saturday at Charlton. Boss Alex Ferguson left Keane, 32, on the bench for Tuesday’s 5-0 Champions League victory over Panathinaikos to protect him ahead of Sunday’s clash with their bitter title rivals. How his ankle reacts to that match will finally determine whether he has the operation. But the signs are not good.'

I looked for a RUMOR sticky to post this but don't see one so I started a new thread. Apologies if this has already been posted somewhere else.

United have insisted that the stories in Thursday's newspapers regarding Roy Keane is not correct.

The Sun claimed that Roy would go into hospital for an operation on his ankle following Sunday's top-of-the-Premiership clash with Arsenal, and would be out for six weeks.

However, the club have told ManUtd.com that the reports are not true, stating that Roy is not set to go under the knife.

    Report by Simon Davies.
