What's with these effing loans every year? The season just finished. European players get June, July and half of August off (minus pre-season). With the final being in December this year, he gets most of December, January and February off (minus pre season), then we're back for an earlier start at the very beginning of March. He has no need to go and maintain fitness, playing for QPR. We've seen our captain burn out, our best defender get injured and that was all after the year we lost Beckham for most of the season to his achilles tendon injury. I thought Bruce had decided not to do these anymore, after Omar?
In typical Daily Mail fashion, the article overstates. After going on and on about 'Arry's interest in Keane, he admits he hasn't actually spoken to Robbie about a loan and that means he sure as heck hasn't spoken to Arena and the Galaxy.
Keane may have put it in his contract, in which case the Galaxy have no choice. Hopefully Robbie has reached the age where he wants a break, and will want to spend time with his family, too.
Arena has stated clearly: no loans this year. Nobody on the team has a strong need to train to maintain fitness for their national team right at the moment, so I think that they will stick with taking a break. Omar will go to USMNT in January, and I suspect that Keane may train (not a loan, but training) with an EPL team prior to the next WC qualifiers, which I have totally blanked on for Ireland right now. I don't think they are until closer to the beginning of the season.
A nice little gesture from Robbie and the FAI's shirt sponsor, 3. http://www.joe.ie/football/videos/v...all-to-an-irish-couple-in-australia-0031854-1
I call BS. The Galaxy are not letting him go, not with Beckham gone and Donovan up in the air. Plus, not even Keane can save the sinking ship that is QPR this year. Team is a mess from front to back.
Link below http://www.football365.com/news/215...rn-to-England-after-QPR-linked-with-loan-deal I am a bit surprised as Keane always seemed like he would jump the Galaxy ship for a team with more exposure and more money. With that being said Robbie you made the right choice, I love that you're here for another 2 years.

I friggin' love Freund. I'd take him as Galaxy manager someday. Keane: "One of these days he's going to get stuck up there"

As I recall a lot of people are related to one of the Georges...... George IV perhaps. I think he had around a dozen of illegitimate children. If Keane is related it would make him more of a rightful heir than the German crew in Buckingham Palace.
