Primarily because we've already had the privledge of playing Columbus first. The two players which occupy 80% of the Payroll and 50% of the Cap space have 1 goal between them. The median 50k guys are kicking their asses from a metrics value stand point. Hope they breakout real soon.

(I'm sure they will but again I'm playing wet blanket guy this week)

But on the other side you could argue look at our team and how we've done without 80% of our payroll and 50% of our cap space. Just think of how we'll do when they break out of their slump. It's a glass half full or half empty type of question.

    goals for:

    Dallas: 7
    Colorado: 7
    KC: 6
    DC: 6
    Houston: 6

colorado also put 3 past columbus, and owes 1 if not 2 goals to goodson, but we're still tied for third in goals scored.

Okay... i'll reword, we're tied for the second-most goals scored in the league.

I know that in the past we have not played well when on ESPN2. But this is different. New formation. New attitude. Better team play. And I think EJ scores in this one because he does play well when on the duece.

Go Wizards. Take down the hoops.

interesting back 4 lineup. Does Groenwald get pushed to the bench and Nick and Jose play wide?

Yeah, that's wrong. There's basically zero reason to believe that our back four lineup wil be anything other than Jose - Jimmy - Nick - Matt.

Unless i've totally missed out on something.

If it were me, I'd start Matt in place of Shavar. He's played well enough... *shrugs*

It's definitely going to be Jose - Jimmy - Nick - Matt

Dangit, I didn't see that Alvarez wasn't playing until after the mfls freeze. Looks like one of my players isn't contributing this weekend.

With DC's win over NY (which is pretty much inevitable at this time... 3-0 with 5 minutes left) that gives DCU 10 points. We have to get a win to maintain the lead in the East. If we tie we'll share the lead with DCU. A loss will put us in 2nd.

I didn't put a result tag on this cuz it's in the title. That's why pre-game tags get [R]'s :)

Yeah, but the [R] does not imply that game. Someone might have taped it off of ESPN 2.

That's why there is a "other MLS games thread" on page 2

Yeah that's why I made that thread so people could post all of that in there withoug having to use results tags.

As for the starting lineup I'd assume the mls thing is wrong and our back 4 will be Burciaga, Garcia, Conrad, and Groenwald. That thing has Garcia at left back and Burciaga at center back there's no way that's right.

It's not. At practice yesterday the starters were all who we would expect:

    Bo
    Groenwald - Garcia - Conrad - Burciaga
    Jewsbury - Zavs - Sasha
    EJ - Wolff - Arnaud

Exactly....vividox, please be more careful. I think you're a cool guy and don't want to have to pull a "Dave" on you. ;)
