We need this one! And it will be tough. Big crowd for fireworks and they help the home team.

    My lineup would be:

    Bo
    Zotinca, Thomas, Garcia, Victorine
    Klein, Gutierrez, Zavagnin, Jewsbury
    Preki, Arnaud

Subs: Hesmer, Roberts, Branan, Sealy, Burciaga

Sealy comes on for Preki at 60. Burciaga for Jewsbury at 70 -- Victorine moves up to midfield.

    Wizards win 2-1.

    I like to be optomistic.

Ah, yes, very nice. I know that Sasha is a versatile player, but does he have the speed needed to play out there in Jose's spot. That would be my only question. If Sasha can hack it, the lineup is perfect. If not, he sits. Put Jack out there already!

I was optimistic we'd take a big jump in the standings with a string of winnable games in Columbus, Colorado and Salt Lake. So far, that isn't going as well as I'd like. We're the better team, but that hasn't meant much lately.

Yeah we got a small gift from the league playing the four worst teams in the league in four of five games and five of seven, but so far we've taken 5 points from 3 of those 5.

I've said it many times, and I'll say it again. Jose is a starter, and that ain't going to change. He made a mistake last game, but he's our starting left back and should be. Furthermore, changing the back four any more than we have to is not a good idea. Continuity is key with defenses, and we need it. Losing Conrad is bad enough, but taking out another one? First, that's not a smart idea. Second, I'd be very surprised to see it happen.

And predicting a Wizards win is bold. Colorado has a great record on July 4th games at home. A draw in this game would be a small victory. But Colorado isn't that good, so maybe we can steal a win.

Again, anyone interested in coming over on the 4th to watch the game to welcome to. I got my couchs in my basement this week, so there's plenty of room to sit and watch the game now on the bigscreen.

I think he's a defensive liability if he's put out at LB. He's been effective the past couple games, why make that change now?

As much as Burciaga is frustrating, I think anyone in else in our lineup is a big downgrade there.

If we win this game, we will end up making the playoffs
If we lose, we will miss the playoffs this year
If we tie, I will jump off a bridge

Those are bold statements. I'm pretty sure this game doesn't carry that much weight.

Great, I just remembered we are away and it's the 4th of July game

I would take back my prediction but it's already out there

Yep, I agree. The only reason I say he stays is because we don't have anyone else that can play there.

Folks that have high definition digital can watch the game on HDNET. No other TV.

OK I am pissed. I have the Direct Kick package on Dish and I don't see it listed as being on. I do not see the value in getting the package anymore. Use to be most of the MLS games were on the package and every year it seems like fewer and fewer games are on the package. Especially fewer wizards games

IF people would get off their asses and come to Lees Summit, they could watch the game. And the fireworks!

They're only on DK if the local teams televise them.

DUH. I do realize that. But it seems fewer games are on of every team this year. When I first purchased the packed 3 or 4 years ago, you could see nearly every MLS Game every week. As each season has passed, fewer games are on each week.

HDNet is broadcasting the game so it should be on the DK package. I noticed as well it wasn't on there. Thank goodness for HDNet.
