    Because someone asked nicely.

For KC, the injury report is down, but no Salloi who has yet to play for Hungary in their 3 games so far. No Tzionis. Because of the lack of winger depth KC signed Vazquez from SKCII for the 3rd time this year.

For New England, no Buksa who was just sold (and on international duty). No Turner.

And I realized I put the date wrong. @vividox can you fix that.

I'm finding a gentle kind of freedom in watching this team be bad.

It’s the freedom of very low expectations.

Walter on the wing again while we continue to start Rosell at the 6…

I think they are silly to try playing out of the back with this patchwork lineup. I hope it doesn’t cost them.

Voloder again with a disappointing performance so far

What’s with URI, it looks like he is wearing a onesie.

He needs to turn it into a training top for a good long time.

it may only be 1-0 to new england, but it might as well be 10-0. we are no threat to score.

FTR, I would love to have a bench option like Boatang, though if he were with us he'd be starting. and probably injured

I actually felt bad for the guys today. With Walter going down and then Rosell being sent off really spoiled what could have been a better result for SKC. All of the guys put it out there and played with a lot of heart, but in the end, I never really expected them to draw even playing one man down with no striker (sorry Shelton). My expectations were very low for this matchup so I wasn't surprised to see them come away with a loss. JFR was an absolute workhorse out there. I hope he doesn't lose his enthusiasm playing for losses each week. Oh well, on to Nashville next week with the next cobbled together lineup.

Russell certainly sounds down at this point.

As for the rest of what you said, I feel bad for Walter, he's been one of the few bright spots. I refuse to feel bad for Rosell getting sent off, he's been arguably the worst lineup regular this whole season. And the no striker comment, I think an actually striker lays out for that cross in the first half that Shelton seemed to half heartedly go for and didn't get really close.

The only thing I got from watching this was that Bruce Arena looks homeless. Somebody get that guy a haircut and a nice polo shirt.

I yelled at the TV when that happened. I am so used to seeing real strikers dive leading with their head to put a cross into the net. When Shelton made that pathetic nod at the ball after that perfect cross, I was furious. Then I sat back down and thought…..what was I thinking….it was Shelton. I feel a lot better now that I have given up all hope.

    Sad revelations, from my perspective:
    • Zusi is still our best fullback, period. Despite not being good for a full 90 much, and certainly not every game. His absences this year are also a visible part of why SKC have struggled so much. We desperately need to solve RB.
    • Duke is really a bright prospect, but I think his versatility will hinder him with Pete as a manager.
    • New England is really bad too, in totally a similar boat to us with players missing or transferred. This wasn't just a point dropped. This was three.
    • Shelton is struggling but good lord how bad must his morale be right now.
    • Once Walter was injured, Espinoza was our best midfielder out there.
    • I just want to hug Johnny. If that man ever loses faith, this team is done.
    Some brighter points?
    • Duke was great. I don't know where he should be spending his minutes (though I strongly feel it's anywhere but fullback), but I'm hopeful he can start putting in some consistency in the midfield.
    • I didn't really have a problem with any of the four CBs. Voloder bit on a good chip, but that's more forgivable to me. It was a good pass that took our back line of out of it. I'd put that more on Zusi than Voloder, honestly.
Honestly, all told, really this wasn't that bad of a game. Stupid move by Uri and a hilarious glut of absences aside, this was some of the best SKC has looked in a while. Doesn't really help us on the actual sports side, but there's some measure of cheer I can take from it.

Lastly, Pete just has to shut his mouth after matches. We lost fairly, like we've pretty fairly lost all our matches this year. Refs screwing SKC is so far down on the list of why this season is going badly... I wonder if he does it to take heat off disheartened players? I dunno. But it's such a tired and bad look.

It's funny cuz in the same moment you were furious, I was actually saying 'good run khiry'. It's rare enough that he even makes a run like that into the 6yard box, gotta be grateful ;)
