I just don't get the ESPN announcers. As per the rules this was a stone cold penalty and of that there is no doubt. Do they even understand this? Sure Atalanta were unlucky but look how far the players arm was away from his body.
We have him for 5 years, 4 more now if he is okay to get an even longer extension. It’s hard to find a young defender, so I wouldn’t mind extending him to a 10 year contract in the next 2-3 years. We need to offload Berna, Ramsey needs more minutes since we are paying an arm and a leg, if he stays healthy then he can really be good.
I don’t know if a single summer transfer timeframe is going to fix our mid field, right now it’s basically the wingers and defenders trying to create something by volleying the balls to the attackers. Melo is okay, but I doubt he will make a difference, we need a stud mid fielder.
