heres the lineup i feel Lippi will put out - Buffon, Thuram, Ferrara, Montero, Zambrotta, Camoranesi, Tacchinardi, Appiah, Nedved, Del Piero, Trezeguet. if everything goes according to plan, Lippi will bring on Di Vaio in the 2nd half for Trezeguet and Davids for Tacchinardi or Camoranesi. Tudor could come on as sub too in the latter stages.
i hope juventus come out with a win, i know they according to history draw the first match of the UCL. FORZA JUVE!!!
"ruled out with a thigh injury picked up against Chievo". Oh, well. Give's Ferrara a chance to play. Here is the starting lineup for Juve: Buffon Thuram Ferrara Montero Zambrotta Tacchinardi Appiah Camoranesi Nedved Del Piero Trezeguet Got the game on Italian radio.
Juventus has already scored. Del Piero I believe although my audio got dropped just as he was announcing it. Whatever. 1-0!
Doesn't appear to have been based on this description from uefa.com: "The home side retake the lead. Del Piero's low cross into the goalmouth is met by the central defender, who reaches the ball ahead of the Galatasaray defenders to flick beyong Móndragon." It was definitely a set-piece.
Juve weren't that great today but whats important is that they got the job done. the whole team was just average... i think they are all tired after so many games within the last 10 days... Del Piero could have got one more with his freekick (it hit the bar) as for the 2nd goal, it went in untouched.,,,Ferrara probably helped distract the Gala defenders but he didn't touch the ball at all. but anyway, all that matters is that Juve won.
My first Juve game I've gotten to see this season, apart from the two in New York. It was a bit of a bore to be honest. We could have killed the game off in the first ten minutes, with two great chances in addition to the goal we scored. But we let Galatasaray back into it and had to fight for the winner. They are a tough team, they give you no space to work and just fight and fight for everything. I thought our passing was atrocious, balls were too hard when they needed to be soft and too soft when they needed to be hard. Way too many giveways. I watched part of Real Sociedad-Olympiakos as well and wasn't too impressed with either team. We should have little trouble advancing out of this group.

Juve are tired.....but they still won, delpiero was outstanding and i like davids-appaih combination!!! FORZA JUVE!!!
I think it was tough to play Chievo on Sunday night, then return for this one today. Three days is not enough rest unless you do some real squad rotation. Lippi started essentially the same team yesterday as he did on Sunday. STILL: two wins. Not easy ones. But wins. But no rest for the weary - with an extremely in-form Roma coming to visit on Sunday. At least there isn't a midweek game next week and then Reggina away.
BTW, after the game, Ferrara denied that he got a touch on Del Piero's free kick, so the second goal was ended up being credited to ADP as well.
