I think the Cape Cod Crusaders went out of business.

Why aren't the Breakers an option? Sexist bastard.

I lived in Houston when the Oilers moved to Tennessee and I couldn't follow them anymore. It was too painful to see the same players hundreds of miles away. I supported them the first season they left but couldn't do it anymore and (barely) followed the Chargers until the Texans came about.

So my answer would be support MLS until another NE team comes around.

I know people who haven't watched an NHL game since the Whalers left town.

You're not trying to drag this thread into a debate about the relative merits of men's soccer vs women's soccer, now are you?

I would follow MLS but not like I do now. I would also hope the franchise would burn in hell. If any of my teams moved I would hope the franchise would never win another game.

Of course not, you believe it therefore "everyone" knows that "all men" are faster and more athletic than "all women".

Your turn for the last word!

I'm gonna tell! You'll get sent back for re-training! :D

Tell the Breakers to go play a Serie A, EPL, La Liga, Eredivise, Ligue 1, etc team. The best of the women's game can't keep up with the best of the men's game. The Breakers and the Revolution, now you could argue it could be close, but I'm not here to talk about that. Put someone like Odonkor, Martins, Ronaldo, or anyone else with speed to burn against someone like Marta and it's no contest.

I like the women's game, I intend to go to the Breakers games that don't conflict with Revs games, but you can't argue that the differences between the women's and men's game.

I don't see the Revs playing in Serie A or any of those others so that's a bullsh*t argument. I never said there weren't differences, I'm saying that the games are not SLOWER OR LESS EXCITING just because it's women playing. As a defender who would you rather defend against, Adam Cristman or Marta? Sure there are men who are faster than women just as there are some women who are faster than some men. It's asinine to make blanket statements about their relative playing abilities. If you personally don't like the women's game fine but don't say the whole game sucks because of it. That's the same argument non-soccer fans use about soccer in general.

Here I go...getting dragged into this "debate" again. Only because it's slow at the office and I don't want to finish my Christmas shopping until tomorrow afternoon!:p

Firstly, the Revolution would struggle with just about anyone in Serie A.

And secondly, the Revolution would beat the Breakers 100-0.

Thirdly, the firstly and secondly have absolutely nothing to do with one another...

I don't think there's a bigger supporter of womens soccer on this board than me. Equal? maybe.:p

The womens game IS slower when compared to the mens game....But I agree it's not less exciting. What would be dull and boring would be watching the Breakers play the Revolution...it wouldn't be a match at all. I compare it to spending a month in Germany for World Cup watching the best our sport has to offer and then flying home to watch the Revolution...Ryan and I were both shaking our heads for weeks!:D

It would be easier for ANY average male to defend Marta than Adam Cristman. There's no question about skilled soccer players. The USWNT struggles when they scrimmage U16/U17 boys club teams...

The rules are the same but the game is different pure and simple.

I do agree with Karen about sports fans bashing womens sports in general. I hate it but unfortunately it's not going anywhere. What I hate even more are soccer fans that bash women's soccer...You'd think they'd get it after having defended soccer to all their baseball and football fans for years on end...

    I cannot wait until April.
