According to Biden one half of the US population has been killed since 2007. I wonder how this is going to impact his 2020 Senate bid. Biden is done. Has been for a while, just nobody bothered to break the news to him.

I wondered if I had heard that correctly, but did not back up The DVR. I was making a sandwich at that point

Did he say something like 175 million Americans have been killed be guns?

Pretty much. There is video out there. I’m like wait wut? Nominate your sandwich and I’ll likely vote for it.

Handsome Joe also called Steyer “Tommy Come Lately” a card he seemed to be carrying in his vest for the aha moment.

At this point I’d be happy with a surprise ticket of Mr Bill / Sluggo.

Add "with a pitchfork" and you have the solution to a Jeff Foxworthy-endorsed Redneck version of the boardgame Clue.

When Klobuchar blurted that out I had a quick flashback to “gridlock!” But then took into consideration the edibles I was enjoying.

Another near quality moment was Bloomberg catching himself before he almost commented about having bought Congress.

Having watched these debates exemplifies why we can’t have nice things.

It was a delicious London Broil and provolone on a croissant, so (perhaps) a bit too "European" for some real 'mericans.

He needs Deontay Wilder's corner people. They threw in the towel pretty smartly and quickly on Saturday.

Even worse, one of the candidates actually tried to talk about coronavirus, and Gayle King (I think it was her) cut the candidate off and said, "we will be getting to that later." CBS should not be allowed to host and moderate one of these again. It was a complete mess. They let some go way over the time, and then chastised some if they tried. They allowed people to jump in without being called out or called on, and to me, it seemed like the order was sporadic and wierd. They didn't ask Klobuchar a question for a long time, and actually went back to 2-3 people with second questions before they even got to her. Then, she was getting way too many questions later in the debate. They also asked a lot of stupid, predictable questions. "Mayor Buttigieg. Given your military experience, how do you feel about Syria?" Really.

And the ending was hilarious too. It was like the Anti Sopranos.

Oops--I was referring to Biden moving the decimal point a few places, not Bloomberg's slip up.

That one reads worse than it sounded live, if that makes sense (not a Bloomberg fan at all, but you could tell he was just stammering a bit and was talking about ads).

Yeah, I heard that only with the context that it sounded like ht might have said he "bought" politicians. Upon first hearing it, it really did sound like he was talking about buying ads.

It was a good debate, much better than previous. I'm fully onboard and Joe has my vote if/when he's the nom, but Bernie was speaking truth. Covid-19 is just a warm up for the climate crisis. Half measures will be catastrophic IMO.

This post, and the posts that immediately followed it (including my own), have not aged well.

True but then again a lot of posts around here don’t seem to age well. That said, the ride is just beginning. Take care of yourself and those that you can.
