Great interview! But there is a typo in the first sentence in the body of the piece. Missing the word “way” at least on the platform I’m viewing. interesting to read his comments about his time in USL.
Which makes his CL performances all the more impressive, no? It's not so much the level you play at as the level of your play. Which is why we played a League One GK, Gavin Bazunu (then on loan at Portsmouth) against Portugal in WC qualifying, ahead of Liverpool's No. 2 . He did very well too

Paramount+ is acting strangely, but Cohen's first save against PSG was a 0.89 xG shot. I assume something jaw-dropping.
And that's the thing: Cohen is better than the Israeli league. Anyone who wins Player of the Year as a goalkeeper is not only the best keeper in the league, but also outshining the goalscorers and playmakers who normally get all the attention.
I literally flip on the game, see Maccabi up 1-0, snd 5 seconds later see Messi score. Damn! Still impressive….
Cohen looks like his usual self out there…. Playing well. I just laugh at anyone would turns their nose up at him. It’s usually said by people who have not seen him or have the argument of “he’s a USLC / Israeli PL level player”. No! No, he’s not. He is so much better than that. I said it for 2 years.
I've said it for even longer. I got to see him week in and week out in Sacramento. Sacramento is a high-budget USL team, but of all the players who have been through here, Cohen is the one I've ever thought was clearly a class above everyone else on the field. I was honestly surprised he didn't move up to MLS after one season here.

Cohen starts and shuts out Juventus at home 2-0 in the Champions League. Shining bright on the big stage, with 5 saves.
So is there a chance he gets a return to MLS in the off season or a move to a bigger European league come summer?
Seems like he's in a pretty good spot where he is, to be honest. Haifa is nice, team is good (playing in Europe and competitive for the domestic title), reputation at the club is very solid, and he seems happy there. Not sure the apple cart needs upsetting. Not sure he's getting as good a starting role elsewhere.
With every contract or opportunity moving forward, Cohen needs to pretty much take the highest bidder. He probably didn't make much money in USL and he's now over 30. It's a different ballgame for him now. He is in the middle of a limited window to actually make real money. If an MLS team offers the most, take it. If some random European team offers the most, take it. If Maccabi offers the most, take it.
No-one. Not on this thread anyway. Seriously, just look at this page and the previous one. Maybe somebody said it last season, when Haifa were in the conference League. but I'm too lazy to look back that far.

welp PSG put up a 7 spot on Josh today.... nothing to be ashamed of.... but IF he were to somehow get in the mix for the WC in Qatar...would have to think he'd need to do better than that.... Hard to argue at this point that he brings that brick wall ballstopping that someone like Turner doesn't.
PSG has a triple attack of Messi, Neymar and Mbappé. Those three have amazing shot accuracy. Hard to blame Cohen, who had in front one of the weakest, if not the weakest, club in the competition.
he face 4xg and gave up 7 I want the keeper that faces 4 xg and gives 0 or 1 like tim howard vs belgium
