was he even starting for Santa Fe? A DP money is kind of crazy for this kid. He isn't 1/4 as good as Montero was when he went to the MLS. Hope he does well tho
Nope he was a bench player for the last 2 coaches in santa Fe even for the nats....he Was often at the bench. big gamble for the timbers is there another colombian youth player in that team?

Yes, it is very important because they are able to be good guides and advisors in this process of adapting and the arrival to my new team. Communication will be easier to foster a friendship with my other teammates that benefit the team. It will make my arrival to the city a new experience both beautiful and complex—complex in a good way. What was it like playing for Colombia in last summer's FIFA U-20 World Cup in your home country? Great. I am very happy and very thankful because I accomplished a dream that I had since I was a kid which is to wear the jersey of the Colombian National Team, playing in full stadiums and being watched by our entire country on behalf of one cause: to defend the jersey of my country

LLEGO LESIONADO? The new loan agreement terms do not require him to count as a Young Designated Player this season. Valencia will remain with the Timbers on their Disabled List while rehabilitating from surgery and therefore not occupy a spot on the team’s roster nor count as one of the team’s international players. “Our No. 1 priority is ensuring the long-term physical health of Jose,” Timbers general manager Gavin Wilkinson said in a statement. “We are pleased to have worked with his former club in Colombia on amended terms of his transfer, considering the circumstances. We are very committed to José as a person and as a player, and intend to return to the original terms of his transfer agreement when he returns to full health following rehabilitation.”

Haha didn't he fail in the MLS? How is he one of the top scoters with only 5 goals. That's why I laugh when people here want Colombians to go to Argentina so bad. It's like let's make Nacional, Cali, Junior, Millos and Santa Fe into international contenders. Imagine Valdez still in Santa Fe and they would have made it to the 2nd round. Do Colombian teams still have trouble paying wages or was that fixed when postobon offered to sponsor the league?
in this moment nobody wants colombian footballers in argentina so bad, all people know that the important destination is europe...........its more funny your conclusions.....
Argentina is still a very good experience for Colombian footballers still in development and a solid stepping stone for those almost ready to go to Europe. The top of the top go straight to Europe but many players still need a bit more exposure to the physicality and mental capacity needed to fulfill the 90+ minutes intensity played in most Argentinian matches. Let's not forget, many of our starting 11 passed thru Argentina: Falcao, James, Guarin, Teo , Yepes and Perea.
Argentina nos formo a falcao y james, esa actitud ganadora de ambos no es de aca..........lo mas grande que tenemos y eso no fue hace 10 años.....
