As the packed January schedule continues, Luis Enrique gathered all his available squad for training on the Tito Vilanova field at the Ciutat Esportiva on Thursday.
By my count I have Neymar and Piqué on four Liga bookings, one away from a one-match Liga suspension. Busquets, Mascherano and Suarez each have three yellows.
Hmmm, weird one, we seem to have the Copa pretty well in hand so grand once pretty much here and rotate significantly before the midweek finish of the Copa. Suarez out of said Copa (2 Copa games at present, whereas the guy who got an actual red card, Diop, misses only 1). Anywho, here's my prediction: Bravo Aleix Vidal-PK-Masch-Alba Raki-Busq-Arda M-S-N allows us to rest Alves and Iniesta while still fielding a great squad at home, more rest midweek (plus double shin guards).
I believe the correct term is 'draw specialists'. Seriously though, there has been a noticeable dip in form these past 3-4 rounds.
The dip started well before the trip to Japan. Its funny how one good month could give the impression that Barca has been great all season if that month includes a big win over LPB...
this should be relatively easy win. Maybe rest Iniesta and play both Rakitic and Turan. I want to see Verms in the defence.
IMO there has been no dip in form. Just some bad/unlucky finishing. The team is playing just the same overall IMO. Remember that in the beginning of the season the team wasn't scoring many goals either and squeezed in some wins.
Bravo Vidal, Pique, Vermaelen, Alba Rakitic, Sergi Roberto, Arda Messi, Suarez, Neymar Ter Stegen, Alves, Mathieu, Adriano, Busquets, Iniesta, Sandro
Well let's have a good game and take the spotlight from Los Blancos!! Messi is captain and I'm predicting a 3-2 win!!
Nice, we are resting 4 of the grand once (Alves, Masch, Busquets, and Iniesta) and already have a lead, first assist to Turan. Haven't seen Roberto at DM in a long time but it is how he first proved Barca worthy last season.
