A while back, @ChuckMe92 spotted an article that said GK Jonathan Bond was American, but I guess we weren't able to pin it down. https://www.bigsoccer.com/threads/t...ive-work-thread.1987805/page-26#post-36169797 Turns out that article was right -- though he's apparently signing with the Galaxy: Because Bond, who represented Wales and England as a youth international, has an American mother and a U.S. passport, the Galaxy won’t need to spend an international roster spot on him. https://www.latimes.com/sports/socc...der-jorge-villafana-sign-goalie-jonathan-bond The club doesn't seem to have announced the move yet, or perhaps I just missed it. His most recent foreign club was West Brom, though he didn't have any first-team league appearances for them. He's an England-born '93 who has represented both England and Wales. If I understand what little I've read about this correctly, he was provisionally tied to Wales at youth level and then switched to England. T'Markt says he appeared for England in competitive UEFA U21 games. https://www.transfermarkt.us/jonathan-bond/nationalmannschaft/spieler/130768/plus/0/verein_id/9565
LA Galaxy announced the move and added further confirmation about his US passport. https://www.lagalaxy.com/post/2021/01/14/la-galaxy-sign-goalkeeper-jonathan-bond
Bond has 36 Championship appearances for Reading & Watford, so he should be promoted to YA. https://www.transfermarkt.us/jonathan-bond/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/130768/wettbewerb/GB2 @bungadiri @dark knight @TheFalseNine
