Not in the mood to be reading crap like this. Hopefully it is all just a misunderstanding or gossip.
He is the only young player getting minutes at a top flight League and playing for Lorenzo.
Do not mess this up by acting immature or like a baby Duran.

Could be a total accident, so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.

But he should absolutely know better since he's gotten in trouble for social media stuff in his previous club. He's either careless at best, dumb at most likelihood, or a jerk at worst.

Well, it appears he had deleted most on his IG account a while back and it got crossed here. His twitter profile still has all the Villa posts and interactions.

Apparently, he didn't train upon returning from Colombia prior to the match yesterday with a sore groin and swollen lymph nodes according to one account I read on Twitter (though unverified) and he may of gotten miffed by then not being included in the squad but it doesn't seem the IG thing was a real incident just Colombian journalists...

he needs to keep a low profile, train hard and make the best of his chances. I still wish he had been loaned to a lower tier EPL side for some added experience.

He has been playing a lot - more than Borré who is playing ahead of him on the NT despite less PT in a lesser league. And he has been remarkably efficient in the minutes he has played.

UECL should be his unless he has done something dumb we don't know about... Really hoping this is just a misunderstanding.

    Ended up being just gossip.

Not happy about the injury but hopefully it was a little nick and not something nagging.

Soreness. He played a few minutes today in their UECL win as a sub. He's fine.

Left out of the squad for Luton Town today. This is going to turn into a distraction and is a real bummer.

Don't know what happens behind closed doors but I hope kid is behaving himself because he is in such a great situation (ascending team, fans love him, he's been productive when given minutes)...

Who knows but decent chance Emery is covering for him to keep it in house.

This toe infection thing is not making me feel good heading into the Brasil match.
Already missing JArias and most likely Diaz this could add more doubt.

He has come off the bench and has been a regular during the whole cycle in the callups.
There's not too many other alternatives at his role.
I guess Sini can benefit though.

Strikers available : Cordoba, Casierra, Roger and even Marco Perez could be options. I'm not a big Perez fan but he has Aguilas top of the league and has been on fire for quite a while. Not a horrible option. Again it's not like Duran has 10 goals for us in as many appearences. Him not seeing playing time this season is not a recipe to use NT minutes as a proving ground. I'd like to see him earn those minutes at club an earn that proper call up.

I would love to see Cordoba finally get some minutes and also Cassiera.
But Duran has had that role though throughout this cycle so he has built up some cohesion and chemistry.
Not saying it would be a huge loss on its own if he does not get on the roster but considering all the other offensive pieces that will probably not be available it does add up in a negative fashion.
We have seen Duran start and play as a second striker to Santos Borre for instance. We have not seen that with any other player at his position.

And knowing Lorenzo he is probably tempted to play Falcao.;)
I rather see Duran with zero Premier League minutes than him.

Sadly, Jhon has been injured for 3 of the 4 games Villa has plays since our last qualifier so he is likely to miss these games ...

why lol? Castro was called up for the Ecuador match. Yes I know he plays in altitude and it was a 'strategic decision' but he made the list. My response was to 'not having options' but Duran.
