If Córdoba had been able to get a work permit in England, he would have cost much more to a Premier League club. This is why so many foreign clubs will also be paying attention to the @FA's post-Brexit rules on international transfers. You know, if they ever come out with them.— smarterscout (@smarterscout) September 15, 2020
The guy is on such a hot streak. Outside of the Atalanta guys there is no one hotter than him in our player pool. I hope he gets a chance. If not October then November.
Who said that? The only troll that start to bitch players were you.with lukaku. Yeah cordoba with 27 years isnt better than lukaku. Actually the comparison is moronic. his numbers are poor....and he havent showed too much in europe...two decent seasons..... Stop your trolling or better dont say nothing. Watch footbal instead
I said that and I stand by it. I used to be obssessed with our players going to big clubs. But history has taught me a lesson. Ospina, Ramos, Cuadrado, Jackson, even James and Falcao themselves. They all went to big clubs and while some enjoyed success at some point, all also suffered the consequences. Even Muriel was a bench player in Sevilla and not by design like at Atalanta. And all bar Ramos, were better players than Cordoba. Bundesliga is a high scoring league. A lot of its high scorers don't do well in other leagues. Cordoba is not an elite player. He is a physical player with good work ethic. We also don't know how he would cope with the pressure of the fans and media. I don't hate Cordoba. I wish him well and it is because I wish him well that i hope he stays in Bundesliga and in mid table Bundesliga teams where he will not only play but succeed and maybe get called up for the NT
Yeah but that poster is to obsessed with your opinion that recall it in like 4 posts.. Agree cordoba isnt a elite player....that doesnt mean if someone thinks that is disrepectful him
Guy is still on fire. I hope he gets called up in November. Freaking deserves a chance to at least be on a roster.
I also think he should be on a better team who can provide him the service needed to constantly score more.
I would love to see how he does with James providing him service. Could you imagine late in a game against let's say Chile. He, Duvan and Mina as huge targets over their diminutive players? I think we can steal a three points that way.
The ESPN commentators mentioned that he is one of the best strikers in Bundesliga to hold the ball with his back against the opposition.
yeah im pretty sure he's always been great at hold up play. He was just a catastrophic finisher. I've known this guy since he was about 19
I see Cordoba as a brilliant super sub right now. As you all mention, his strength and physicality could make a huge difference against a tired defense.
There's no reason in my mind why Duvan shouldn't be the definite starter. He'll need a sub. As much as a bull as Duvan is, Cordoba is just as strong but faster. Speed makes a huge difference in the final moments of a game. If we're till chasing a result, I prefer Muriel and Cordoba as subs over Morelos or Falcao.
