Europe hasn't adjusted for daylight savings yet...so there is only +4 hour difference.

They move clocks ahead next weekend and we will be back to a 5 hour difference from the Eastern U.S.

It was the 1950 World cup in Brazil. they are superstitious about it, they changed their kit from all white to the stuff they are famous for today.

Brazil wore white again in their frendly with France a couple years ago where both teams wore those retro kits and the score was 0-0.

just confirmed with a phone call to my Nike Rep.: the white kit Portugal is using today against Serbia will be Portugal's Home kit Nike is due to launch Dec. 1st worldwide... apparently this will be their Euro2008 kit and the away kit and additional gear is due to come out in Spring 2008.

I should be seeing this stuff in the coming weeks... I'll updated it here 1st!

Really? It looks just like the red and black kit, only in white.

    That makes little sense.
For one some teams are getting 3rd jerseys yet Portugal gets there new Euro kits this early? I think it's safe to say these are the 3rd kits for qualifying only, unless Nike really doesn't know what they're doing

the second thing is it is the exact same as the WC kits and Nike wouldn't let the template go over two tourneys.

and did anyone notice that the names and numbers were supposed to be black? since the swoosh trim, and cross on the back were all black. Nike really didn't have their shit together for this one.

The white kit is nice, but obviously they just threw it together for this game so it wasnt refined.

The numbers should be dark Blue IMO (portugal away colors are supposed to be white and dark blue) and the green socks obviously dont match it, it should be white socks but I think they wore the green socks because Serbia was wearing white socks and I guess they didnt want to wear the same colours socks.

those green socks are nice though, I think they would look great with the home kit.. it would match the green trim on the jersey perfectly.

that is what she told me (although she was a little surprised they were already revealing them this early)... she also mentioned the away jersey and additional gear will come out some time in the Spring. I don't remember exactly how Nike introduced the kits used by Portugal for the Euro 2004 but I agree with most that it sounds kind of early for Nike to show the Euro 2008 kits...

The white jerseys look alright. I think they need to get rid of the green socks, maybe black? Not sure. The color of the numbers should be black or red, but not yellow, you can hardly see it on the white. Bad color scheme. I doubt these are the Euro jerseys, I think they are the 3rd kit.

I'll bet these aren't set in stone as the new home kits. If they aren't releasing them fully until Dec. 1 then why would they play in them on March 28? I'm guessing the lady Chop talked to said exactly what she knows, but that these aren't in fact the kits for release Dec. 1.

    Just my thoughts.

I agree. Was it just me, or did others notice that some of the players had the game and date underneath the crest while others did not? I think Nike just made a feeble attempt at putting together a new kit in very little time. I too like the kit but to make it the home jersey of choice is just wrong...

I believe all the teams wearing liking will be unveiling a "3rd" kit.

Brazil's is suppose to be white as well.

For the record the only reason Portugal was wearing different color socks is because they were away and Serbia wears white socks as part of their home kit.

I believe Portugal's white kit will be just that all white. (like Real Madrid)

I didn't like the gold numbers as they weren't easily visible. Black or Red numbers would have worked better.

That's why they call it an "Alternate" Kit...do you remember the blue jerseys the NT use to wear?
