To be fair Jeison hadn't played much for a year, he's now back to playing regularly and in a very good team so I wouldn't worry to much yet, but if he's not in the next squad that would be a very bad sign.

I really like him. Hope he he stays healthy and fit so he can make the final roster. I was annoyed he didn’t go to The Brazil World Cup and after that cup looked like he would be our starter for the next 10 years. Now with Mina and Sanchez popped up he isn’t even called any more. It’s crazy how much depth the NT can get so quickly
I trust Oscar Murillo more than Jeison. Unless Jeison gets really in form I don't think he'd even be ahead of Cristian Zapata. Jeison has a better shot for next world cup to be a bench warmer.
Jeison in Copa America was the only colombian elected in the best XI.....after finished a good season in granada. Now in valencia he is having a similar season, so i think that he should be bettero optio than any other. At this moment only davinson have more merits to be in the tournament than him
It's too soon to declare how Jeison Murillo is doing this season, as he's only played 9 out of 25 matches. This is also the first time he's played two matches in a row since November. Hopefully he can keep up good form and consistency. I would add Oscar Murillo having more merits in be in the world cup than Jeison.
Comparing Jeison to Oscar really? Jeison is a world class caliber defender, who admittedly has had a rough year and a half, but I am confident he will regain his form in the immediate future. Oscar on the other hand... not so much, dude can't even dribble, is clumsy, oh but he can clear the ball 50 yards into the stands. Not to be too harsh with Oscar, he played fairly well in yellow, I just don't trust him. IMO being a starter in Mexico isn't such a big deal, even limited players such as Uribe succeed over there.
Jeison definitely has more potential than Oscar, but fact of the matter is that Oscar Murillo was consistent during qualifiers. Jeison Murillo was erratic during qualifiers. You say Oscar Murillo is clumsy, Jeison is just as clumsy. Jeison made more than a few errors that lead directly to goal during qualifiers. Oscar Murillo has Pekerman's trust, Jeison has to regain it. Between now and June it will be tough for Jeison to regain that trust enough to get called up to the world cup.
