I think Uchida and his teammate should stop the player who pass the ball to Ze Roberto first, but they fail to do it. About the Kagawa match, he play well but his teammate who play defend make too many mistake.
He doesn't look that bad [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M31AhXPk5VU"]YouTube- ???? ????????????????????[/ame] He had some good ideas, but execution wasn't good enough.
I know this is a bit late, but this last weekend Hirofumi Moriyasu played his first game for Sydney FC. While he is American, he is eligible for Japan, and I am going to keep an eye on Sydney because they haven't synched in the midfield as of recent, maybe they may take a chance on him. Another Japanese-American, Kyle Nakazawa, has been playing decently for Philadelphia Union. While I don't think he is international quality, it's fun to keep tabs on the Japanese players in North America, which also include Brazilian/Japanese Paulo Nagamura for Chivas USA, Kosuke Kimura for Colorado Rapids, Kentaro Tamada at NSC Minnesota, and the pair of Tsuyoshi Yoshitake and Takuro Nishimura with Crystal Palace Baltimore. There are ex-Japanese internationals Takashi Hirano at Vancouver Whitecaps, Takayuki Suzuki for Portland Timbers, and Takuya Yamada at Tampa Bay.
Kenji Treschuk (Who used to play for the Seattle Sounders and the Charleston Battery) is currently without a club. He played decently at Charleston, but I think he was trying to play overseas. He's not listed on any roster in North America for this season. Maybe Kenji goes to Europe. But as of now, he's not a Japanese abroad playing in North America.
Abe Yuki (of Urawa Reds) will be heading to England on Aug. 25th to perform his medical to finalize his move to Leicester City (of English Div.2 / The Championship). He does not qualify for the automatic work-visa requirements (something along the line of appearing in ~75% of national team matches in the past year?). However, the club is hoping that his solid number of past national team game appearance (49 games), and the fact that he played in all 4 World Cup games in South Africa will give him special exemption for the work visa to be granted. http://www.sanspo.com/soccer/news/100824/scb1008242302006-n1.htm Good to see an (almost) old man make his dream come true and head to Europe. (*fingers crossed* for the medical and visa)
Leicester won against Leeds in the League Cup tonight. Good. If he performs well this season for them a move to PL is not unlikely. But I wonder if he is guaranteed playing time?
Checked their squad and they only have a small number of internationals (most of them had less than 5 caps). I think he would be by far, their best player. (On paper at least). Championship is even more physical than PL, I hope he can handle this. Promotion to PL would be amazing although I doubt it would hapepen.
Honda against Famagoust : [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kmya6YJ3ndE&feature=sub"]YouTube- ???? ??????????????[/ame] Brilliant. This new experience as a defensive midfielder could be very useful for the rest of his career.
I heard something happaned at Leicester like a takeover or something which resulted in the manager getting an extra 10 million euro for transfers. So they should be trying to bolster the squad for a real promotion challenge. They were awfully close to gaining promotion to the EPL last season. Either way its still a little disappointing. but hey it could be VVV in Eerste Divisie all over again who knows.
I wonder if Abe would've been so eager to make the move if he'd been able to read this: http://www.guardian.co.uk/sport/dav...icester-takeover-football-league-transparency
Yano Kisho has taken a temporary leave of absence from his team (Albirex Niigata) as he's scheduled to leave for Germany on Aug. 26th to undergo contract negotiations with Freiburg of German Bundesliga (Div. 1). http://www.sanspo.com/soccer/news/100825/sca1008251659003-n1.htm I found this a bit surprising that a fringe-national player like Yano looks more likely to play in a European Div. 1 league instead of other, more noted players... (ex: Okazaki, etc.)
Yeah I agree. Isnt it damn weird that Tulio, Okazaki , Nakazawa and a few more seem to be ignored by European clubs? When players that is not even in the NT goes to Europe. Or did they get offers, just that they did not like them??
I think they simply have incompetent personal managers/agents. About Matsui, it's nothing new for most of you but he said he will return to Japan as early as this season if he doesn't manage to join a decent European club. Staying in the mediocre Ligue 2 is out of question apparently.
Masahiko Inoha will likely go to Tom Tomsk this winter. One more player going to Russia and I kill myself.
Do not kill yourself. We have a good country and a fairly strong league (6 in Europe). As Tom is a well-known Korean player Kim Nam-il. Head coach of Valeriy Nepomnyaschi. Most famously he coached the Cameroon national football team when they surprisingly made the quarterfinals in the 1990 FIFA World Cup. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Valeri_Nepomniachi
Nothing against Russia mate (except Marseille will kick Spartak's ass ), I just don't understand these moves. Why is EVERYBODY moving to Russia ? More difficult to follow them ... Plus, honestly, Matsui deserves better than Tom.
LOL another to Russia http://www.nikkansports.com/soccer/news/p-sc-tp0-20100827-670762.html This is starting to get suspicious.
I have no problems with the Russian League, but for Matsui this is probably the last big opportunity, I would have loved to see him in Germany or England, or at least in a Champions League club.
