The qualifiying stage for Japan have finished. Japan is in Group L of the Qualifying stage. Interestingly enough, Korea Republic is also in this group. In Japan's first match, againt Macau, they literally smashed them 26-0. Afterwards, they played Korea Republic to a 1-1 tie. However, Japan qualified on goal differential, scoring 12 more than Korea did against Macau. (source)
