so we need two players. tachinardi seems to be the favourite for the midfield signing at the moment, getting him on loan for the rest of teh season sounds like a good deal to me. but the real question now is what attacker might be available. so whos it gonna be? i wonder if overmars would be willing to come out of retirement
why would overmars be needed? on the left is ronnie, backed up by messi, and on the right there is giuly, backed up by iniesta. only a #9 is needed.
yes we do`nt need the injury prone marc this injury jinx is a problem, if i was to sign a forward in the jan window, i would go for leverkusen`s bulgarian center forward Dimitar Berbatov, even if bayer are struggling in the bundesliga i rate him highly, he is good in the air , has predatory skills and can be spectacular on any day as his fine display so far in the championsleague proves. another player i`m thinking of is the young and gifted another bulgarian sharp shooter Valeri Bojinov who is taking the serie A by storm at such a tender age, i think under proper guidance with a constant midfield supply this kid will be one of the best in his position, his movements on and off the ball are superb plus great vision, his only weakness is his temper- need to check that.
Lets get Mutu In Spain Mutu's ban would be over in few weeks and we don't have to pay him any money. Cocaine will keep him happy.
i`m a huge fan of mutu i believe that he really never settled at chelsea as he was so prolific with parma, if he gets back to full fitness with out injury problems i think he should be a good addition but his favoured destination is back to the seria A scene of his best performances possibly with juventus, technically he is brilliant and sharp at his best, as for parma`s starlet Alberto Gilardino, he is young and developing into one of the best attackers, this means that we should expect a lot of competition for his services. if you partner gilardino with eto backed up by the impressive midfield pairing of deco, ronnie and xavi with marquez doing the donkey work i think the world will see more from this exciting youngster.
i actually think mutu would be a decent siging, he'd be free, he's even stated in the past that he's a huge fan of barca. except i don't think he has an EU passport. bojinov is also a really good option. don't know much about berbatov, but he scored a really classy goal against madrid in the CL the first time they played.
i can't believe i'm going to say this, but desperate times call for desperate measures. we would probably be able to get john carew pretty easily, he says he's happy at besiktas(?) but for his international career he needs to be in a more competitive league. i know he's not going to score many goals, but having someone like that in the penalty area would cause a lot of problems for opposition. i'm just throwing it out there. i'm really trying hard to think of someone, anyone! and at least he's familiar with la liga. i really hope they find figure something out.
Eww. No way. Not only does he not have an EU passport, but apparently, his nuts hadn't dropped until just this weekend.
How About Javier Saviola, EL PIBITO???? Yeah, that's what I like to hear, bring our boy back: http://www.elmundodeportivo.es/20041124/NOTICIA183523474.html
sounds like getting saviola back hinges on morientes returning to monaco, but after eto'o and especially after el clasico i can't imagine real will do anything to benefit barca. god knows they aren't in need of morientes, more so after robinho arrives.
How on earth are they going to get Robinho? They couldn't register Eto'o because he was a non-EU, but they can register Roninho? Has Roberto Carlos gotten a Spanish passport?
Did president Perez ask permission to the scumbag Ultras about the signing of Robinho? Do they know he's black? Illiterates probably don't even know. Bunch of idiots.
Very soon the only non-eu player for Real will be Ronaldo. Scolari has an Italian passport I believem RC is getting his Spanish, Samuel with his Italian, and I think that's all of them.
since we are throwing names around for fun, how about van hooijdonk? he has already stated that he wants to leave fenerbanche (although after this season) and it will bring some dutch back to barca. i mean...i know it will never happen, but awesome in the air so he could score off crosses and knock down long balls for players, comfortable with the ball at his feet, very good finisher, and an awesome freekick.
. carew would be a good addition to come from the french, he is lanky and powerful in the air and can score at an average rate, he really suffered while at roma last season but with valencia he was in top form. another marksman based in turkey van Hooijdonk with the defending turkish league champions Fenerbahçe will be the ideal player with we are to play with wingers, i really admire this guy, powerful in the air has great predatory insticts and a great free kick taker. he has been on form since last season with fener and he is now a regular displacing newcastle`s sharp shooter kluivert in the dutch national side, plus he is one of the reason why the power balance is shifting from gala. lets say you partner eto with van hooijdonk, then they will play off each other one superbly skilled with the ball on his feet, the other expect the best when the ball is in the air, great aerial prowess- reminds me of ac milan`s former german international oliver bierhoff, great header of the ball. and i think we can get both carew and van hooijdonk cheaply.
adding this gifted goal grabber tomasson would be okay but i doubt if milan want to release him, he is still in thier future plans now that pipo inzaghi is battling injuries and crespo even if he seems to have rediscovered his scoring form is still not as consistent as they expect to be. it would be very hard for us to get tomasson, last season he was in top form playing a huge link up role with ukrainian hitman sheva to help the rossoneri win the serie A, i just think that it would be hard for us to get him, may be now that ac milan is most likely to sign real madrid`s out of favor argentine international left winger solari who refused a contract extention. but the red devils of man united also are in the race for his signature.
There are differing noises coming out of Barcelona about the possible return of striker Javier Saviola to Camp Nou. The Argentine hit-man is on a season-long loan at Monaco, but it has been suggested Barca could recall him to help assuage their injury crisis. After losing Henrik Larsson for six months to a serious knee injury, the Catalans are on the look-out for a striker, as well as a defensive midfielder, to bolster their squad. Cutting short Saviola's loan spell would be a cost-effective way to recruit a striker, but the South American would not be available for the UEFA Champions League having already represented Monaco in the competition. Barca's director of sport Txiki Beguiristain claims a deal for Saviola is a 'real option', and explained a decision will be made by the coaching staff in the near future. However, Barca's vice president of operations Ferran Soriano has all but dismissed any chance of a move for the 23-year-old. "It's practically impossible," he stated. "There is zero or very little chance given that he is on loan until the end of the season, and it would be very complicated technically." Saviola did meet with Barca president Joan Laporta after Tuesday's Champions League clash with Liverpool, but Soriano insists the meeting had been scheduled for several months and was not in regard to a possible return to Camp Nou. Monaco have also expressed their surprise at reports suggesting Saviola could quit the club and stated that no talks have taken place between the clubs on the matter. "We are completely taken aback, the Saviola case is absolutely not topical and there is also nothing about Morientes," affirmed Monaco general manager Fabrice Poullain. skysport.com
I pray to god this statement is a joke......i understand it is faaaaaar fetched, but do you understand how bad it would be for the team. Rivaldo ruined the team chemistry duing his final season because he wanted to be the center piece.....maybe if it were 1999, not after. I respect everything he did in a Barca shirt, but he is too much of a problem for the little reward the team would receive. Also, he would be coming in to play the same position Ronaldinho plays better than he ever did at Barca.
No way, Rivaldo is Olympiakos player. He is non-EU, cost to much and he wouldnt be able to play in CL. Also I dont believe that Rijkaard would want him in the team.
