You see how much dirt admin officials have been sitting on for 18 months here - imagine what else there is to come out about Shit Gibbon 1540281222160588805 is not a valid tweet id
This passage was aimed at MTG. But how many are running scared right now. "No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress...who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress...to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same," reads Section 3 of the 14th Amendment.
I think you are being overly pedantic here. The hearings don't have to be "about the next election", but they absolutely can be used by Democrats to their advantage. Just doing what they are doing now should be damaging to Republicans as long as Democrats use it in their campaign ads and as part of the campaign speeches. There's also the issue of if/when the Republicans take the House, the committee's work involving Trump's attempt at a coup comes to a stop and Republicans flip it to start investigating the "fraud" that led to Biden being elected.
Me? Overly pedantic? Never, sir, Never! Why the very notion offends my sensibilities! Again, this was the original comment to which I responded [I know, consider the source] My point was the implication that the "reason" behind the hearings being "purely" political.
I see this quite a bit, but it’s interesting to me to have a different perspective regardless of how wrong I think that person is. I don’t think marek is a troll, I think he really believes the stuff he posts.
Well yeah, and Trump really thought he was cheated, despite complete lack of evidence, eyewitnesses, or anything really. Doesn't mean it's right. I mean, if the voices in your head tell you to kick the dog, they're not always right, are they?
I never said he was right, I said he believes what he posts. And I don’t think for one second that Trump thinks he was cheated.
Correct. Trump is pissed off because; He thought he should have won based on His ego The number of boat parades and people waiving "Trump" flags at rallies He tried to cheat and people that could get him what he wanted, (a victory based on deceit) told him, "No".
The hoods are coming off Miller: President Trump… I want to thank you for the historic victory for white life in the Supreme Court yesterday pic.twitter.com/RqxmbT8jx5— Acyn (@Acyn) June 26, 2022
I'm not the biggest fan of the Democratic party, let's be honest. A lot of the good things they pass end up with issues because of unintended consequences and unfunded mandates. But I think of myself as a logical fellow. I know the evanglicals rose to power in opposition to school integration. But do they really think the one thing standing between a completely white Christian Evangelican America and reality was aborted white people? I'd like to check their math.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/nation/2022/06/26/mary-miller-white-life-trump-rally/ She also has had to apologize for approvingly quoting Hitler. One of her campaign ads is a sex offender. She won her seat in Congress by a margin of 73.5 to 26.5
It is like the Laura Ingharm, hail Hitler salute. It is a wink and nod to the extremists then say it was a mistake or joke or whatever and typical libs overreacting/cancel culture. He whole party believes trolling the libs is part of their platform.
From my personal experience as a conservative evangelical all those years ago, I'd say there are two different elements in the group. One element does not try to be racist and believes all (straight) people are equal. The second element is racist and believes that black people result from Ham's curse. I can't say which group is bigger as I think it has a lot to do with geography and I was mostly surrounded by the "all are equal" crowd. When someone did spout the racist crap in Bible studies, etc, it was quickly shut down and those people did not return. However, if you were black in those evangelical churches, you were the token blacks - it was obviously a place African-Americans didn't feel overly comfortable. The problem, as always, is when you have a conservative group with two factions like that, the more conservative branch often eventually triumphs.
When we get down to sorting a "conservative group" into 'more liberal" and "more conservative" branches, that I think is where we lose track of reality. Neither is "moderate" at all, and it is the moderate position that should delineate left from right. The more conservative branch accuses the less conservative branch of being liberal, and by so doing defines the middle as being extreme liberal, and constructive dialogue ceases to be possible.
