I don’t know what to say at this point. Not trying to be funny here, but he’s more brittle than Robben and Van Persie https://caracol.com.co/radio/2021/02/14/deportes/1613330707_613694.html
They were so bad against Fulham, the whole team was poor. Honestly when James was out they were getting results but I think they were fairly lucky not to go behind and find goals, they were not predicting a lot of chances but were defending pretty well and once they got a lead they are good at defending and countering it. James has been a mixed bag but overall I think the midfielders haven't been great at controlling the game, they can't keep possession or progress the ball and Calvert Lewin has been good when he gets chances but Richarlison has had a lot of bad games and he's super important as a wide forward. IDK this isn't James fault and his body language and leadership needs to be better but he's trying to battle and I fear those calves are still causing him trouble but he's trying to play through it.
I don't know if this was for sure, but my reading was that Ancelotti thought that he was going to be able to control possession, so he had a lineup with tons of skill but not so much defense as he had in the previous games. Fullham did the right thing and deprived Everton of possession and exposed their lack of defense, hence they tilted the field in their favor. Obviously, the poor level of James and Richarlison doesn't help, and missing Allan deprives them from defense and control, and not having Calvert-Lewis makes the opposing defenders' wok a lot easier. Hopefully with a more conservative scheme they can get a favorable result against City.
Good game by James. Participated in the goal with a great assist and was overall more active. I saw him make more effort to win the ball back
I only watched about 20 minutes of the first half. Was James exhausted when he was subbed in the second half or was it Ancelotti playing it safe with him?
Playing it safe and getting more pace on the field. Smart move, considering DCL won the last penalty after he and Richarlison ran from touchline to goal.
Great performance and contribution from James. An assist each in the derbies with Liverpool this season and they took 4 points of 6 on them. That pass was pibe-esque!
James Rodríguez is the first Everton player to assist a goal home and away against Liverpool in the same Premier League season. His left foot belongs in a museum. 💫 pic.twitter.com/Sd5uH5FP7m— William Hill (@WilliamHill) February 20, 2021
Or the way they kept stats. Don’t know when they started counting assists but it started relatively late, I’d say in the 1980s. PS.: I checked and seems that they started keeping that stat in 2006.
7 is surprising. But wtf is #4 haha James looks like a handsome 13 year old from a boy band. And god in colombia. Haha a whole country follows you.
#4 in the list, the all mighty Virat Kohli... Who knew 1.5 billion Indians followed cricket, not soccer...
Plus isn't Cricket like the second most popular sport in the world after Football with Basketball being 3rd most?
