Went out and caught the season opener of the MN Thunder v. Seattle Sounders here in St. Paul.

Jamal Sutton started at forward and played the full 90 minutes for Seattle in their 4-0 loss to Minnesota. He was the main attacking avenue for the Sounders in the first half which consisted of somebody long balling it over the defense into one of the corners and having him run onto it. Stuck in the corner and with no other support, Jamal would usually get dispossessed or knock it out of bounds. By 15 minutes into the second half, he was gassed, moved to right wide midfielder/forward and disappeared for pretty much the rest of the match. One really nice opportunity that just missed and two other chances that really were off the mark.

And for those few posters out there that I know will be interested, University of Dayton product Terry Alvino came on as a sub for MN Thunder in the 65th minute. In the 74th minute he notched goal #3 for his side and then had an assist in the 84th minute on a great run that started with him fighting for the ball at the top of his own box, taking it down the middle of the field to about 10 yards past midfield before dishing off a perfect pass to a forward for the goal.
