    Sendai 0-1 Kashiwa
    JEF 1-2 Urawa
    Tokyo Verdy 2-3 Gamba Osaka
    F. Marinos 3-0 Kobe
    Iwata 1-0 FC Tokyo
    Kyoto 3-1 Kashima
    Cerezo Osaka 2-1 Nagoya
    Oita 0-0 Shimizu

Stage 1 ended today, with Yokohama F. Marinos lifiting the first stage title, ensuring them a spot in the playoffs at the end of the yr. (versus stage 2 winner)!

JEF suffered a terrible collapse down the home stretch. In the driver's seat for the title w/ 2 games left, they dropped their last 2 and ended up in 3rd! :(

Iwata prove they can contend for titles in the post-Takahara era, losing the 1st stage title by only 1 point. In fact, if Iwata didn't get off to a bad start when Yokohama crushed them in the opener, it's Iwata lifting their 3rd straight stage title!

Biggest surprise of the season has to be Cerezo Osaka. They were in J2 last year. They finished in 5th, ahead of Urawa, Kashima, and Nagoya and 7 places better than derby rivals Gamba!

That's my best guess too. Iwata wins stage 2 to set up a showdown at the end of the year.

Its "bomb head" Nakazawa. He is former Japan NT DF, gifted in physically for a Japanese DF, but not so skilled and no brain.

But now They must play without Fujita in 2nd stage. His loss will be huge for Jubilo.

    No, please. :D
I like Okachan. He was good in J2 and is doing good in J1 so far. But at this point, we need well experienced Euro coach for national team such like Ivica Osim. I would like to see him as Japan NT coach after Zico.

Speaking of Okachan, I just read that he broke his glasses during celebrations in the Kobe match and now Yokohama International Stadium wants to put the broken glasses in a display case and exhibit them.
