The US rolled out the same tired lineup less Hamm and Parlow and proceeded to stink the place up for 90 minutes. Now we're playing even with Italy and were scored upon in 11 seconds. You can't say it's because she was trying new people either. THat wasn't the story.

With the Olympics around the corner and this team fresh off the WC, there can be no excuses.

April is not doing the job and MUST go. THis is getting embarassing.

Let's learn from the WNT loss to Germany.

The issue is not the selection of players, its the lack of tactical sophistication.
For years we beat teams through our superior talent, great team spirit and a tremendous will to win, which was embodied by Michelle Akers. Now we encounter a team- Germany- which has all those characteristics plus a greater tactical understanding which I believe they have learnt by studying their men's team, which is probably the second best team on the planet.
In order for us to get back on top we can't just brush off the loss to Germany, we need to learn from it! And what we must master is how to play soccer with our heads as much as with our heart.

Do you think that the Women's studious rejection of the USA men's program and MLS have anything to do with this?
