    Fantastic player, could in the right circumstances be a fantastic signing for the club.

    But you have to wonder if this is a panic buy. Moyes has demonstrated he is quite willing to splash some cash under pressure, without having a clear plan as to why (Fellaini).

    In order for this signing to work we need to sign a CM and technical, threatening WF (or rehab Nani). And we have to change our system to proper football, not GWAC. Additionally Moyes will need to bench, sell or play out of position our star player.

    If Moyes does not do these things, then its his second panic buy. He will have bought a player that does not fit our system (GWAC), and will not mesh well with other key players like Valencia. Mata does not play in a position that we need filled. In fact we have other positions that are far more in need of filling. We could end seeing a £40M #10 on the wing crossing in balls.

    Good;

    -----------------------RVP-----------------------
    Januzaj--------------Mata------------New WF
    -----------Carrick----------New CM------------

    Bad;

    -------------------------------RVP---------------------------
    ------------------------------Rooney-------------------------
    Mata-------------------------------------------------Valencia
    ------------------------------Fellaini-----------------------
    ------------------------------Carrick-----------------------

    Could just use Nani you know, technically excellent one of the best dribblers, goal threat, dangerous and link up rather than treat him like a piece of trash and Herrera could easily be the midfielder, though we need one more as Carrick body is giving up due to carrying the midfield for 7 years alone, will also need replacements for wings not named Valencia Young
    But this team isnt about putting players in spots its about an attacking idea and philosophy cant see Moyes do anything even if u give him everything right.

    Looks like the 2nd one will be in as Rooney may sign a new contract, Moyes loves Valencia and he isnt going anywhere at the moment.

    This is better suited for this thread. Don't know if you all have seen this, but hilarity all around.

    there's no GWAC philosophy; there are GWAC players. an offensive quartet of rooney, rvp, mata and januzaj will not pump hopeful crosses in the box regardless of configuration. on the other hand, valencia would try to swing crosses from the right even if he played as a lone striker.

    mata is also not nearly as limited as kagawa. he'll do well offensively in any set up like silva.

    It doesn't Mata who United sign if Moyes is still in charge.

    Viva La Mata, Abajo con Moyes.

    PerfectQ Now let's get personal terms agreed by deadline day, shove him into a medical check at 10.30pm, and last but not least... go back to Chelsea with a revised offer for £5mn + Ashley Young. It's bound to work out.

    Good news for us. I would like to see Kagawa, Mata, RVP, and Nani out there together. No more Young or Valencia, possibly no more Wazza...

    If he gets the 7 shirt, hoping he has the mettle to follow in the footsteps of the greats who have worn it before him:

    Slight difference though with both the player and the clubs confirmed agreed to the deal. Do agree that the thread is premature but benni is an excitable kid :whistling:

    Mata will fail until we get rid of Valencia and the GWAC football that playing him entails.

    Take care of Juan , hes a great fella. Not only a great ambassador for the club on the field , but his efforts off the field make him a very likeable guy.

    That picture sums up everything wrong with our club.

    #MoyesOut! in his training kit and smiling as he wastes even more money on another inflated deal for a player we don't even need.
