*The previous episode was sadly during the writers strike, so it was morphed into a recap filler episode where nothing new or exciting happened. so, if you didnt watch it, you didnt miss out on anything! The legend is growing viewers. A hero from across the sea, doubted by leaders only to have the citizens embrace and love him. In his few and infrequent appearances, he has almost singlehandedly saved the season for our lovable heroes. But now they must once again face an old foe, a general from the east, with his new band of revolutionaries that have taken the world by storm. Will this new hero's power be enough to overcome the odds?
Hang is probably right we’re going to get destroyed and lose by 2 but just maybe these guys will have some pride , dig deep and gut out a win and the entire MLS will then be on notice that we’re back
Of course cheerleaders are stupid and that goes double for the bunch of slightly pudgy marginally uncoordinated cheaply uniformed and badly choreographed ladies we knew as the Crewzers. It's why we loved them. Reminded us of ourselves. ( Seriously though, if you had the chance to be around them at all, which used to be quite.common, they were uniformly sweet, friendly and absolutely staunch Crew fans. I'll never forget that Hunt Sports refused to help them get to LA for.the Cup so they bought their own tickets and hotel rooms and air. Then MLS decided that they wouldn't allow them on the field, even for a quick routine at the half, so they stood in their seats and cheered their heads off anyway. A great bunch of women)
I never did understand why the Crewzers got ditched. People complained about them? There may not be cheerleaders in Europe, but there are soccer clubs in Mexico and in South America that have them, so it’s not unheard of in soccer. And of course there are NFL and NBA teams that have cheerleaders and/or dance squads, so it’s not unheard of in the American pro sports landscape. ISTM that the Crewzer “hate” was Eurosnobbery. YMMV.
Santos out. Team says he's " doing better", Don't care a lot for the sound of that; better than what, exactly? Both Zelarayan and Valenzuela listed as questionable.
They have them in Cologne. I've seen them.... Seem to be part of the club too. https://www.fc-cheerleader.de/
He looked hurt in the last few minutes of the match against RBNY. I pointed it out to my son that he hobbled back to the circle after the Berry goal. Not surprised to see him on here. I bet he still gets some minutes but not all 90.
We just need to let the club know that the COLUMBUS crewzers would be an integral part of creating a worldwide brand identity and a key feature of the Tri State Marketing Plan. An added bonus might be a whole new line of Crewzers branded bras and panties. That's right in the VP of Marketings wheelhouse. Maybe they could even manage to have a few on the shelf to sell once in a while. Win win.

Just an FYI for those going to watch the game at Lower.com, Nationwide and Express Live both have sold out concerts on Saturday.
It'll be interesting to see who the starting center backs are. (Assuming CP doesn't go to a 3 man back which I'd love to see) People around this forum have been down on Vito for weeks, but I don't agree; I think he's been very good. Until this week when he decided to ball watch when Mensah went forward in the box to try and win the ball. Wormy is standing flat footed and way out of position, giving him a lovely view of NY scoring uncontested.
I agree, Vito ain’t great, but he doesn’t have huge mistakes like Keita regularly has. And Williams was very good last year, but hasn’t exactly been great since coming back from injury this season. I’d roll with Mensah and Vito. Though it might depend on who NE starts. If they start all of Bou, Gil, and Buchanan, that is an incredibly mobile and pacey attacking front four (along with either Buksa or Bunbury). Maybe Williams would be preferred then. I suppose it really comes down to this: Is Porter giving up on the season? Then play Keita and get him more reps, mistakes be damned in exchange for long-term growth. Is Porter still trying to make the playoffs? Gotta go with the vets.
Nah. For me, it’s the J&J show all the way. Jonathan and Josh. Williams had that huge gaffe against Miami, but let’s not lose track of the fact that he just got back on the field like twenty minutes ago. We’ve all been BEGGING to get him back on the field for weeks, because he’s objectively better than Wormgoor and Keita, so I’m not about to bail on him because he wasn’t fully match-ready. I could actually argue that he was rushed into the field prematurely because we can’t trust the other guys.
Mensah's performance relies a lot on his companion CB. There have been partnerships that haven't worked (Næss). He has worked well with Williams and with Sauro in the past. Him and Vito seem to be getting better together, but I prefer Williams. I still don't like how Vito will scream at everyone after something happens when half the time it's his fault.
Yeah, but that midfield 4 is pretty marginal. No Lucas, three players who really aren't first choice starters, and nearly nothing on the subs bench.
