IT IS EARLY IN SEASON 3, AND ALREADY THE PRESSURE IS BUILDING. A YELLOW HOT START FOR OUR LOVABLE HEROES HAS TURNED INTO A DROUGHT. THEIR ATTACK HAS FIZZLED INTO NOTHING. NEITHER THE SAVIOR FROM ACROSS THE SEA OR JAZZ-SI (GYASI) HAVE BEEN ABLE TO FIND ANY OPENING TO EXPLOIT.

WHAT IS WORSE FOR OUR YELLOW CLAD CREW IS THAT THE HUMAN LEADER HAS REQUESTED THE PURGING OF ALL HUMAN EMOTION AS A WAY TO IMPROVE THE EFFECTIVENESS OF HIS SQUAD. THE CITIZENS ARE BEGINNING TO WONDER IS THIS ONCE-ROBOT IS THE PERSON TO LEAD OUR FAVORITES TO VICTORY.

NOW A STRANGELY COLORED FORCED FROM THE SWAMPLAND TO THE FAR SOUTH MARCH NORTH TO PILE MORE PRESSURE ON. CAN THE CITIZENS INSPIRE OUR HEROES TO TURN AROUND THEIR CAMPAIGN IN THIS EARLY HOUR?

It’s not logical because we stink but somehow i think we find a way to win even if Owen Gol has to comeback to our team and help us

Remember when our opponents were generous enough to get a player ejected for a good portion of every match? Those were the days.

    This is gonna be fun:

The DORA opens at 1:05pm and the weather should (mostly) cooperate. Highs in the upper 50s and no rain.

I thought we got rid of "activations" when we saved the Crew.

    Plaza Activations

    · Get eggcited for our Black & Gold Egg Hunt! 1,000 eggs will be hidden throughout the grassy areas for children 10 & under to collect while supplies last. The egg hunt starts at 6:00 p.m., and children may collect up to 5 eggs. Two grand prize golden tickets will be hidden in an egg: Birthday Bash at Lower.com Field hosted by the Columbus Crew and Crew Cat, and a game-worn autographed Crew jersey.

    · Guess the Number, Win Tickets! Record your guess for the number of yellow candies inside a jar for your chance to win two tickets to our match on April 30th.

    · Win Prizes! Try your luck at the Nationwide Kick & Win and the Tim Hortons Prize Wheel.

    · Get a Photo with the Mascots! Both Crew Cat and SC will be on the Plaza ready to take photos. They'll even be bringing a spring-themed backdrop.

    · Soccer Tennis! Our Crew Academy U14 players will be explaining the rules and monitoring play on our soccer tennis court.

    · Lawn Games! Enjoy playing Giant Jenga, Connect 4, Cornhole, and Soccer Pong.

Where will the soccer tennis and lawn games be held? In the plaza? The kids stuff is what is missing at the new stadium. Glad to see them try something like this.
As for the game, Derrick Etienne is not an MLS level starter. The fact he starts for us just shows our lack of quality on the wings. I remember in early preseason hearing a lot about formation adjustment as the situation calls for it. Still waiting to see anything that might resemble a different approach. Nothing yet on that front…

em el es soccer dot com's player availability report only shows Kevin Molino (knee) and Isaiah Parente (illness) out for Saturday.

Does that mean that--gasp--Perry Kitchen might make an appearance off the bench??

Agreed. At one point, HCS had all sorts of activities on the plaza (obstacle course, dribble/pass/score, a shoot-on-goal thing, probably others) plus a mini-field plus a playground.

What does LDC have for kids who may not want to sit in their seats for the whole game?

I don't even want to ask about the STM legacy club...

I feel what you're saying as I have little kids who would utilize such things.

I think the whole intention with the stadium design was to try to keep people in their seats though. Not have a decent handful of people milling about on the concourse or plaza areas, leaving seats empty that look bad on TV. I could see having something for the youngest of kids to do....but not really anything beyond that. Older kids and adults, for whom the game apparently is not enough, can sit their butts in their proper seats with their faces glued to their phones like normal people if theyre so bored!

I don’t think Kitchen has appeared on any of the injury reports this season.

Has anyone actually watched Orlando this season? I tended to keep an eye on them since I like watching Nani play, but I don't think I've seen more than a few minutes of highlights this year.

Yeah. Their best CB, Antonio Carlos seriously messed up his hamstring, out 4-6 MONTHS.

Gallese has been very good in goal.

Urso Jr has been good in midfield, I like him a lot.

Pato has played a wide forward role in a 4-2-3-1, with Austrian target man Kara up top. Kara is very limited, literally just an old timey target forward #9. Pato had been excellent, glad to see him doing well (until he gets injured again).

Orlando is struggling without the quality of Nani and runs of Mueller (went to Scotland) so they’ve regressed to Pareja’s bunker and counter game (LoW BLoCK!!!)
