Only two episodes remain viewers! Our Crew were victorious in our last episode, despite the attempts of the minions on EV.I.L. to interfere. Still not eliminated from contention for the end of season championship tournament, our lovable heroes must now march east, to the nations capital, to face their oldest and most bitter of foes. They are also still trying to qualify for the tournament. Things still look bleak for our yellow clad heroes! It will take a miracle for them to qualify. Their leader is still recovering from his virus. Will our heroes pull off the impossible?
I think this is where the hunt ends, officially. DC isn't great, but then again, neither are we. And DC only has one loss in their last seven at home (5-1-1), and that was to the record-setting Revolution. Since a tie does us absolutely no good, unless we get the lead early on, we're going to have to press the attack with reckless abandon, and that doesn't usually work out well.
I smell a draw... ( last two times I said that the Crew won ) ( seeing if I have additional cosmic powerz or should be playing someone else's lottery numbers )
Injury report: D.C. United official injury report v CrewOut: Flores (calf), Reyna (quad), Brillant (ankle), Nyeman (quad)However, Paredes (hip flexor) won't play, Reyna likely in uniformCLMOut: Artur (hip), Francis (thigh), Kitchen (knee), Molino (knee), Morris (knee), Zardes (knee)— Steven Goff (@SoccerInsider) October 29, 2021
Too bad about Francis; it would be nice to spell Milton a bit. Kitchen and Molino can split a cab and head to John Glenn as far as I'm concerned. Take Wright-Phillips with you.
Caleb Porter said he is now clear of the 10-day quarantine under MLS protocol. He will fly into D.C. tomorrow and will be on the sidelines for the game. #Crew96— Jacob Myers (@_jcmyers) October 29, 2021 The CoachBot is back.
So, does that mean Diaz is available? Some late game speed could help. Reyna scoted twice when they beat us here. So I won't miss him. Paredes is also a quality player they are missing. Unlike NYRB game, we are on equal rest (or lack thereof). Interestingly, if we get the win (and help) we need today, and midweek, and are somehow alive on decision day, the some of our playoff competitors (NYRB, Montreal, Atlanta) will all be facing opponents with a full week of rest. I assume we dance with the ones that brung us once more? Plenty of time to rest if we lose. --------------------Room--------------- Moreira---Mensah---Williams--Valenzuela ---------Nagbe------Hairston----------- Santos-----Zelarayan----Etienne -------------------Berry-------------------- If Milton needs a break, then Santos at LB & Diaz starts. I am really opposed to DC ending our season. I hate when that happens. DC 1: Crew 2. Heart of a champion.
It's a beautiful day in this wretched hive of scum and villany. Ready to bring back 3 points to Cbus. Does anyone know if there are any pregame festivities?
Not sure about anything like that - but Bluejacket down near the stadium is a great spot for a pregame drink and dinner
It’s a couple blocks off the green line Navy Yard stop if that makes a difference. Then about a mile walk to Audi Field
We stink on the road and don’t have Zardes , lose by 1 so maybe we win because that would make no sense
For those of you who prefer an actual soccer broadcast instead of Neil Sika babbling about where everyone went to high school, 97.1 is carrying the Buckeyes tonight. Chris Doran will be on 1460 am actually calling the game. I'm not sure but I think you have to download their app.
You can listen right off 97.1s website. That's what I do. Theres a live streaming thing up at the top of the page. You can switch it over to 1460.
