These KNT defenders have absolutely no composure. Would get absolutely raped against better opposition or sent off for ridiculous challenges making up for losing balls and unforced errors.
Gotta love the defence go to clearance is to kick the ball straight up towards the middle of the penalty area. No where near touch or opposition half. The back passes from attacking third is an issue because the players take too much time on the ball thus inviting pressure. They look like they have no confidence.
they rarely do against a top 40 NT. they have confidence sometimes against AFC minnows. sad. you're not gonna get any good football if confidence isn't there. it's foundational i like LJS's headband look though.. badass
Im sad that I cant like this more than once. Also, the defense was really bad, but at the same time, we did have our entire starting defense out and Bento then played WDJ in as a CB when he has no business being there. So I didnt personally put as much stock into the results tbh. Kor really struggled playing out from the back, but I did kinda like how they seemed to have emphasized doing this regardless and not just hoof it up.
I mean... we cant rely on just two main defenders for tournaments.. and if this is the best backup we have.. we r fked.
@coated didn’t put much stock in these friendlies either. Wish KMJ played against Mexico, having a sure fire starter in the defense could of made a difference after Mexico scored their first goal. KYG and KMJ is the best CB partnership we have. But when KYG gets older we need that guy who can mesh well with KMJ
Yeah, I was really looking forward to seeing KMJ in action esp against Mex. Since he has such limited tape/exp on going up against top comp, I was hoping this could be a chance to show what he's got. I'm still curious what happens for him in Jan though
