Full analysis here [in Spanish] Missed this post: they are never going to improve their play with Spitse in midfield, certainly not with the type of football they are trying to play. This midfield needs wholesale changes ... [two flyweights and a paperweight aren't going to cut it ]
Really? I think Groenen and Van de Donk have more than proved themselves over the last four years. Spitse is getting old but is a team leader and one of the best free-kick specialists in the game.
watching it here and there and it's not pretty. Liechtenstein has had a few chances but neither team has any type of offensive sets.
Two more games with UEFA teams coming up tonight. Belgium - Rep. of Ireland (19:30 CET) Austria - Finland (20:30 CET) No sources for streams. Probably highlights only.

Aaahh, Luxembourg; nice country. I recall walking through downtown at night and seeing this weird display of lamps with heads inside that look back at you from every angle; it was kind of freaky.
Individually they have proven themselves yes but as a unit they got destroyed against the US, France and Spain. If they want to grow to the next level it's not going to happen with this combination, the teamplay has not improved one iota since 2017. 'If it ain't broken, don't fix it' works fine with another lucky draw though, they're good enough against the rest of the nations ... They want to dominate posession, play attacking football yet they can't keep possesion of the ball from more than 10 seconds when put under pressure by an actually good team ? Euro 2017 style was just like van Gaal in 2014 with his 5-3-2, a necessary cautious approach (as the underdog), not the style we want to play.
We’ll probably disagree, but the Dutch were handling France pretty comfortably before Janssen had her moment of madness. Regarding the Spain match, playing under pressure isn’t helped when the ref largely lets the opposition do whatever they want to get the ball back (shoving/kicking) while sometimes calling you for the softest of fouls. I recognize that I’m a minority opinion there though. I don’t know. There’s obviously much to work on, but I don’t think Spain and France destroyed the Dutch. France didn’t actually create that much in terms of quality chances, and Spain relied on the ref to win 1-0. Agree to disagree.
5-2 to Germany and 3-0 to Netherlands after 30 minutes: at this rate, I've got the feeling that Australia will be literally butchered at the Olympics!
Bad luck for Japan that they will not play in the same group as Australia in Tokyo because Australia is also an Asian team.
It might cost them pot 2 at the Olympics. Brazil and Canada are only 5 points behind them. Pot 1:Japan(host), USA(2192), Netherlands(2023) Pot 2: Sweden(2009), England/Great Britain(1999), Australia(1963) Pot 3: Brazil(1958), Canada(1958), China(1867) Pot 4: New Zealand(1757), Chile(1628)/Cameroon(1455), Zambia(1191)
Poland-Sweden 2-4 FT Poland:Ewa Pajor (26,48), Sweden: Stina Blackstenius (37,43), Seger (86), Lina Hurtig (93) Poland chocked Sweden by play weel and dominated the first halfhour, then Sweden geared up. Poland upped their game in 2nd and could match Sweden until the Swedes toke in four more experienced player (in 65th) and toke over the match again. Seger get her 213:th cap, Therese Sjögran have the Swedish record at 214.
Take notice of Natalia Padilla-Bidas (Sevette FC) she will soon change the Swiss league for much stronger one. It was first Poland match under new coach Nina Patalon (appointed as interim coach but will stay on the job imo). She is the first women coach of our WNT.
Canada with an early lead in England. I don`t know if it will help them to reach pot 2 because Brazil had the better results at the SheBelieves Cup including a win against Canada. Australia should have lost pot 2 with their 0:5 defeat today. Bad luck for the Netherlands as they would play against Australia at the Olympics if Australia remains in Pot 2
Don't forget that, like AUS, ENG have posted two Ls this week, too; there might be room for both BRA+CAN to rise into pot 2 with both ENG+AUS potentially falling.
