It would be good if it is the same team which drew UAE

I don't know right now, the match hasn't even been confirmed yet. The squad that drew with the UAE had no European or S. American based players just players based in the West Bank, Jordan, Egypt, and Kuwait. The other players though are to brought into the fray sometime soon though. We'll see, would really like to see this match be played.

    AFC to recommend I-League advisor

Three-year-old I-League will get further boost in its road to professionalism with an expert from the Asian Football Confederation coming on board next month to offer his advice on management and restructuring of the top-flight domestic tournament.

All India Football Federation General Secretary Alberto Colaco on Wednesday said the AFC would next month recommend an expert who would help in professionalising the I-League.

"AIFF President Praful Patel met AFC chief Mohammed bin Hammam last month. Hammam told Patel that he would recommend an expert next month to advise on further professionalising the I-League," Colaco said after the I-League Committee meeting.

He said former AFC assistant secretary Carlo Nohra, who played a big role in revamping AFC Champions League, is unlikely to be appointed as I-League advisor though his name was earlier considered by AFC for the job.

"Nohra has taken up a job in Dubai and we have not been able to contact him. His name was considered earlier. The AFC will recommend the expert and we will go from there," he added.

He informed the I-League would resume in the last week of next month after the December 21-January 3 Federation Cup in Assam.

"Today's meeting was more of introducing the CEO (Sunando Dhar) to the I-League Committee. He will take charge on January 1, 2010. We will release a tentative I-League schedule from the ninth to 13th round. The I-League will resume in January last week and there will be a break for the February 16-27 AFC Challenge Cup in Sri Lanka. It will again start in first week of March," Colaco said.

"There could be changes for those matches involving Churchill Brothers who will play in the ACL play-off match on February 6. There are some problems on the venue in Ludhiana and there will further update in two or three days," he said.

Asked whether Fatorda Stadium in Margao will be available for I-League matches in view of reports that the stadium has been taken over by Goa Cricket Association for a One-dayer in February, Colaco said the state association said it has not got any answer from the government in this regard.

Colaco also said that in case Churchill qualify for ACL only one team from India will play in 2010 AFC Cup.

"In that case (If Churchill qualify for ACL) only one team, the Federation Cup winners, will play in the AFC Cup. In case Churchill also win Federation Cup then the I-League runners-up will play in the AFC Cup," he said.

The General Secretary said coach Bob Houghton would make a presentation in the AIFF Executive Committee meeting in January about the blueprint for the senior and Under 23 teams for next year.

"He will present a blueprint about the preparations for the 2011 AFC Asian Cup, 2014 World Cup and Olympic qualifying matches, AFC Challenge Cup and Asian Games. We will take a final call about whether we will send an Under 23 side in the AFC Challenge Cup," Colaco said.

He made it clear that despite complaints by states like Bengal and Goa on other states fielding over-age players in the Sub-Junior National Football tournament in Gurgaon, only two boys have been found above 16 years of age after medical examination.

"AIFF doctor has done X-rays of the players and we have checked their date of birth certificates. And only two were found over-age. If you are alleging a player to be over-age give us the proof," he said.
