Lamb is the guy Fetterman beat in the primary in a race where the dividing line was progressive/left Dems vs centrist Dems, and pretty much nothing else. Yawn. Conor Lamb, who lost to Fetterman in their Senate primary, says he campaigned as a different person than he is today.“There is a head-spinning quality to it. He seems to be finding common cause with Joe Manchin, or at least acting like it,” Lamb saidhttps://t.co/nxkii5EwkP— Igor Bobic (@igorbobic) April 22, 2024

As a matter of fact, no, I’m not tired of us winning and them rake stepping. HOW IT HAPPENED1. Rs say no foreign aid without border security2. Ds say nope3. Rs say then no aid4. Ds cave, cut a deal for tougher border laws with Lankford and McConnell5. Trump tells them to kill it6. Rs kill it7. Not surprising at all--but I was talking about American racism going back to the colonial era. Fascism needs fertile soil to take root, and deeply-rooted cultural norms about powerful White men who are empowered to use violence to enforce their will on others is a welcoming environment for fascist ideas.
Strangely enough, I also have a single paid writing credit and it was also $25. But it was 1986 money, so I could have, I don't know, bought a car or something. It was a review and strategy guide to the video game "Rescue on Fractalus". What a sweet game.
You mean the second most expensive spice coming from an exquisite orchid that must be hand-pollinated and harvested? High praise indeed.
My dad was into computers pretty early, like late 70s. He bought a computer book written by a charlatan. (This wasn’t unusual as it’s not like publishers at the time knew enough about computers to spot bullshit.). It was full of crap. (I’m just relaying the story as told to me.) One of the terms in the book was “altered variable,” which wasn’t a thing. So in my dad’s published book review (I think in an airline magazine) there was a really funny line. As best I can remember it, he wrote, what is an altered variable? A neutered bisexual? I don’t know if it’s funny today; I think it is because he’s just making fun of the writer. He wasn’t making fun of bisexuals or trans people. I have not achieved that level of fame.

They need it so bad. They need anything slightly resembling a left-wing 1/6 to cancel out their guy sending brownshirts to the Capitol. So they can campaign for Trump and still get invited to Brian Grazer's pool party.— zeddy (@Zeddary) April 22, 2024
I managed to have a career out of writing for eight years. Starting in journalism in 2008, moving into PR in 2011, then transitioning to advertising in 2013.

An excellent example of centering the lede."This case is about a criminal conspiracy. Trump orchestrated a criminal scheme to corrupt the 2016 presidential election. Then he covered up that criminal conspiracy by lying in his NY business records over and over and over again."— Mark Sumner (@Devilstower) April 22, 2024
