The mlsnet webmaster has yet to get it right this year. I suggest right click, change zoom to 50%, smaller obviously, but you won't go dizzy trying to focus. hannah
Cerritos in for Gray at 58 minutes. Dynamo have a free kick that goes directly to the keeper. They are not making much out of their corners or free kicks. Waibel is making some good plays on defense.
Freddy Adu in close, goes wide on the shot fromo pressure from Onstad Chochrane yellow at top of box. DC gets free kick and puts it in . . . 2-0 now.
You guys are looking pretty good on counter attacks, but missing DeRosario really took the steam out of your offense.
88th minute Barret serves it and Cerritos gets a header - Perkins makes a good save. Dynamo continue to get offsides calls . . .
It's over, DCU wins 2-0. Disappointing result, but not that surprising. DCU is tough to beat on their field, and missing DeRo definitely hurt. Houston created some good scoring chances, they just couldn't finish them off. Too many offside calls killed scoring chances as well. Oh well, hopefully the team can regroup and get back on the winning track next week at home.
Thanks to everyone who posted updates. If you were eventually able to watch the video on MLSnet, was it still free?
It was, but MLS had already mentioned that they had extended the free viewing period up to last night's games. I believe the next games will have to be paid for, though.
The surprise was not that it was free (at least after seeing that they posted the Free period was extended), the surprise was that we got to watch the game at all. Since the game was only on HDNet, it was not supposed to be included in the online video, according to the FAQs posted on mlsnet.com. We didn't get the first half, but starting at halftime through the end of the game, the video feed worked. Not sure if that means future HDNet only games might be available, or if it was a mistake, or what.
Yeah, I thought the same thing as I was watching it. Showing the game seemed more like an MLS error than an actual change in policy. In the future, MLS will have a better control on the games, as they institute their new subscription service. It could be that select HDNet games get thrown in whenever feasible.
By the way, if you want to watch the first half, it is on the mlsnet Sights and Sounds page. The first few minutes have no sound, but the entire game is online. (Sorry for posting this on multiple threads, but I figured some people may not see the post, and may want to see the full game)
