As a Chivas fan, I don’t have faith that Vuce will get the best out of the players so if Vega and Antuna have legit offers, they have my blessing to go.

    I have spoken.

Vega has been one of the best players in the group stage of the olympics. I think if he can carry the team to a medal it will bring in some good offers (at least I hope so) good enough where Chivas is willing to sell.

Chivas can use the money to reinforce for the next tournament. I already consider this season a wash.

What I don’t get is, without pro/rel every season is a wash. They should just take last place with youngsters and let them adjust to the league a season or two.

Waiting until a WC has never worked and that’s if he even makes the roster and plays in the WC. Chucky, Tecatito are the starters. Then there’s Lainez, Orbelin, Antuna, Pizarro he’ll be competing against for those two backup wing spots. Just hope Pizarro doesn’t make it. Making the top 23 for Mexico will be difficult.

Chivas cannot wait until the World Cup unless Vega signs a new contract. His contract is done Dec 2022.

for some reason I get a feeling that Vega would fail in Europe, not because he’s not a quality player but because of the mental aspect.
I feel like he’s the kind of guy that would get home sick pretty soon

    but I hope I’m wrong

Lol wtf? Nah i guess I’m just a little biased because he’s medio parrandero. He said it’s all in the past but who knows
And now Marco Fabian said Vega reminds him of himself in 2012

Fabián for the most part did well at Eintracht, though. And what ultimately did him in there was not his lifestyle, it was injuries.

If Vega can get his diet right he could do very well in Europe. Also his lifestyle might need to change too.
Piñeda should bet on himself and not sign a new contract. He's doing well in the Gold Cup, for him to continue to get better he needs to go to Europe. Memo and Marco Fabian's development was stunted because they stayed in Mexico too long.
Luis Romo had a great season and won the league title. He's beasting it at the Olympics, hopefully, he goes to Betis or another European team because he's just starting to show his talent. He reminds me of HH but a better playmaker.
Hugo Sánchez has been saying it for years for Mexico to truly compete with the best and dream of winning the World Cup we need more players in the best European leagues.
