Exactly. A player having little first division experience has never stopped Liga MX teams from inflating their price. Cases of prospects waiting for their contract to end are few, though I hope it happens more often. I remember Édson Rivera feuding with Atlas back in 2011 when he forced a move to Braga but something like that has always been pretty rare. Some teams are catching on. It's why the usual suspects are always being linked to Mexicans, be it PSV, Porto or Betis. I suspect Wolves will follow suit if they lose Raúl. I've never seen a team so proactively target a certain fan base.

IMO, the window for Macias to transfer to Europe has closed, there are too many deprecating factors now at play. His price tag, Recent form of his team, No major tournaments with national team where he can raise his stock, he does not have Euro passport. So, if I was playing the position I would short this stock at least in the immediate term.
